Hello all, brand new newbie to Universal! Wondering if the Blue Man Group VIP experience is something anyone has done before? Is it worth the splurge as opposed to a regular ticket? We have a birthday celebration in our travel party (adults only) and wanted to check if this offered something over and above the other tickets - especially for the price! Also - best place for discounted tickets to it? Thanks a lot in advance?

Never did the VIP experience, but have done front row poncho section twice - if that helps. Poncho section is great, especially if you can get front row center. Lots of splashing and stuff into the crowd, plus excellent views of the boys (the marshmallow catching skit is really great viewed up close).

Thanks so much cbsnyber1 for your helpful response!

I’ve done 3rd row middle section twice

One time did row way back in the middle section ( not poncho section)

Poncho section for me was well worth the cost

You can see more facial reactions when you are very close to the stage

We did the VIP experience once, but it was about 5 years ago. Not sure if it's changed since then.

We were able to go to the "Bluephoria Lounge" before the show for drinks... we got two drink tickets to be used during that time. The lounge was at the top of those stairs that are on the front of the building. After the show, we returned to the lounge for a meet-and-greet with a Blue Man. We each got an 8x10 picture that he "signed" and we were able to have our pictures taken with him as well.

It was a fun experience, and I'm glad we did it, but I don't know that I'd do it again. You can meet a Blue Man for free after the show in the lobby, and I'm not sure the drinks were worth the expense.

Thanks a lot for your input snoopboop- exactly the kind of input/ feedback I was wanting to know. Was there a backstage tour or something other than just visiting the lounge? Again, I appreciate your input, thank you

Nope. No backstage tour. Now THAT is something I'd be totally willing to pay extra for!!!!! My dream job is to be either a Blue Man or a member of their band!!!

Thanks a lot for your response snoopboop- really appreciate it! I asked specifically as this is how the VIP experience is being advertised- that it includes a backstage tour so was wondering if it does actually occur - apart from the souvenir pic, meet-greet, drink etc. Thanks a million again!!
