Screamscape.com is saying a preliminary deal between Blue Man Group and Universal has been signed to bring a permanent show to Universal Citywalk in the old Nickelodeon building which will be obviously be painted blue.He still calls it a rumor but it sounds believable to me with a pathway to bring guests to the building between Universal and Hard Rock and a name show to compete with Disney's Cirque Du Soleil!!!

Id definitely watch Blue Man Group ANY DAY over Cirque du Soleil

This subject was mentioned on here a couple of months ago. It sure sounds like a great idea. I would love to see this show come to Universal. :thumbsup2

Dont hold your breath waiting for it. Signs lately are pointing to this not happening due to a mix up made during the pitches and negotiations.

Sounds like it would be a great idea.

But they better not touch our "secret" back entrance into and out of Universal :teeth:

Blue Man Group would be an excellent addition to Universal's lineup. But I think that 'secret' entrance would get a lot more use if the Nick building is used again. ;)

The "back entrance" is the entrance near the HRC, down the alley where the Nick Slime Geyser used to be.

Oh absolutely. I was just kidding. If the entrance even continues to exist. If the Blue Man group were to come to City Walk, they would have to get rid of or move that entrance, otherwise City Walk visitors would not be able to get to the Nick Building without having to enter the Studios first. Perhaps they would move the gates closer to Jimmy Neutron, or worst of all, just seal it closed by Jimmy.

Oh my gosh...I would be there EVERYDAY if this were to happen!! :thumbsup2

I was questioned repeatedly about how I would feel about the Blue Man Group at UO during a focus group some time back. They already had them in commercials we were shown during the sessions.

You could be there everyday, but if Blue Man Group does come to Universal, it's to Citywalk which means it would cost a good $60 or more to watch the show like Cirque Du Soleil at Downtown Disney, this is not a show for the parks!!
