We went to Blue Man Group a few years ago and enjoyed it so much that we want to go back this summer. Last time we sat all the way in the back, but this time we were interested in front row poncho seats. Has anyone sat here, and how were the seats? Is it better to be in center, or are seats on the side okay too (some of the nights front row is not available in center, only on side)? Thanks.

We're seeing that show at the end of June :)
We're in row 6 I think - front four rows are the poncho seats due to all the splashing and sweat - didn't really fancy that!

sweat?

(op, sorry for veering off. hope someone has an answer for you.)

Hi,

Me and DB went and had seats at the front row to the right in the aisle. Great seats, very close and could see brilliant. He even got picked to go on stage, which was so funny:rotfl:

Have fun

That's good to hear. So I just want to clarify that the seats you had were were not in center section but in the right side section (and not the aisle of center section)? Even though they were on the side they weren't too far from center and you still had good view?
Thanks so much for the advice.

Sorry, so hard to explain, right side and the first two seats nearest the centre block seats. View was great, we saw it in London and was near the back and so really wanted to get as close as possible, one of them shows you want to get a good view.

Plus we did not get splashed with paint either seating there.

Hope you get where i mean :)

We sat front row, center on our last trip & loved it. We felt right in the middle of the action the entire show.

We had front row center seats in Nov. 2008. My 8 year old and 14 year old kids loved it!!! My 8 year old disappeared at the end of the show under a mountain of crepe paper-when we dug him out, he was hysterically laughing!
We are going again this year during Jersey week and are hoping to get front row center again.

Just what is this show all about? I was not even considering purchasing tickets but everyone says it is great! Can someone fill me in? I may reconsider seeing it. (I have two sons 9 and 7 years)

plenty of you tube stuff but I wouldn't recommend watching any of it more than a moment or 2 since the best part of it is not knowing what to expect of the show!

drums........ drumming...... you like drums? & lots of comedic bits, some wayyyyyyy worth the price of the tix alone!

they never say a word so many will say the closer you are the better since you can set their facial expressions.

we have had 2nd tier seating right behind the front part, with the aisle in between us,, (great seats) & front row center.. even better seats. the plastic gets hot & clammy,, but we knew when to put them on ( seeing it before). suggest bringing wet wipes. (g) . didn't get paint on or sweat ( don't know anyone who would have, never figured that comment out)

wayyyyy worth it

I did look on "utube" at a couple of clips, and I could see adults being entertained but for a 7 year old, I am not so sure. Any comments would be appreciated.

We went in December 2009, front row center seats 1-4. We took our nine year old grandson and to this day he loves to remember the show. In fact, since BMG announced their national tour this year, he's been bugging us to go to a show.

I'd definitely go for front row, more for the up close and personal view than for anything poncho related. I think the "poncho section" is meant to stir up possibilities more than the reality that results.

BMG - not to be missed! You will love it.

Am I the only one that got claustrophobic sitting up front? :rotfl:

I have never experienced claustrophobia before or since, but at the end of the show when everything comes forward, I started to feel nervous. I was in row 3. I imagine row 1 with so much space ahead has an advantage that 2 - 5 wouldn't have.

Thanks, I am going to look into it more.

We sat very first row.. off to the left facing the stage.. they gave us ponchos, but we did not need it. We all LOVED it.. especially my 7yo, he laughed the entire time!!! I don't think there really is a bad seat in the Aquios theatre.

We sat front row, just off centre - ponchos were provided, but were not needed. ;)

Our DD was 7 when we saw the show - she loved it and can't wait to see BMG again. :woohoo:
