Where are the "best" seats for Blue Man Group? Do you get really messy in the front rows? Are they too close to the stage to get a good view. My kids are 13 and 16, and I'm wondering what they would like best. Any insights anyone can give me would be much appreciated!!

I went last year and sat in like row 3 or 4 of the "poncho section" just off center. I didn't get hit with anything.

There is a good gap between the first row and the stage, and the stage isn't really too high up, so I don't think you'd have too many issues in the front row if you wanted it.

The poncho section does supply cheap plastic poncho's in case of splatter, but it's not like a Gallagher show where things are constantly flying into the audience. There may be a slight bit of splatter from the drums or paintballs, but not enough where you REALLY have to worry.

The first rows of the non-poncho section are also not too terribly far from the stage either, so if you didn't want to even worry about any splatter, you could always try for the first couple rows of that section.

My son is 11 and has seen Blue Man 6 times - the closer the better, with front row seats being his favorite. You may get the odd spray from stage, but you really don't get messy. I think the ponchos are more for show than necessity - I don't usually put mine on and have never had a problem. If your kids like being close to the action and percussion instruments then you can't beat being close and able to see the blue guys up front and personal. On the other hand, if they enjoy things being a bit removed from the center of action, just back it up some - the evening is lots of fun no matter where you sit. Different perspectives, but always fun. We have two more BMG performances coming up - both front row. :thumbsup2

Thanks for your responses. Very helpful! I think I'll go ahead and get the tickets in the poncho zone.
