We will be at Universal in July (Th-Mon). I was looking for which Blue Man Group performance to attend. The 6:00 or 9:00? Looking at Friday July 22 as the date.

Second, which section is the best to sit in Poncho, Zone 1 (rows 6 or 7) Center or further back. I have heard that sitting further back is better. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I imagine the 6pm start time will be better for kids, but probably a little more chaotic and full. I personally think sitting further back is better generally in shows, although I must admit I have not seen Blue Man Group yet.

Is BMG an audience participation show at some points? If so, trhen sitting father back will decrease your chances of participation, which is either a good or bad thing depending on your point of view.

I've seen the show 3 times and all 3 I have sat further back. Not all the way back, but back far enough. The Blue Men make several trips out into the audience to pick up audience members and interact with them, which is some of the best parts of the show, so if you're up front, you'd have to turn way around to see it.

I have sat 2 times front row dead center. Then I have been once 2nd row center just behind the wheelchair area. I like being back due to being able to see more of the audience participation. The front row and center is great because they are so close and their facial expressions are great.:thumbsup2

You will enjoy it.:goodvibes

I took my wife one time front row on an adult trip, then my son got mad and had to do it again.:lmao:

If you have never seen them before I would suggest a few rows back. It is hard to get the perspective of the whole show if you sit up front. My 11 yr-old is a gigantic BMG fan and the last 6 times we have seen them we have sat on the front row because he likes to be really close to the action and to see the nuances of their performance, but I wouldn't want to do that the first time. :goodvibes

Well, I ended up getting Tier 1, Row B, Center. I tried to get Tier 2 but the BMG website said there was nothing available for my request and directed me to seats in the Poncho section. I then changed my request to Tier 1 and tried getting something further back but all that was available was on the end of the rows. So I decided to take Row B in Tier 1.

I'm sure I will enjoy it no matter where I sit. Looking forward to it. Thanks for all of the input so far. I'm sure I may have some other questions. I'm not a Universal expert by any means, ask me anything about Disney and I probably can answer. But I'll probably be a pest on these boards over the next few months.

Thanks Again!!
