thought i would surprise DH with tix to the show (looks like something he would enjoy.....he wanted to do cirque, but as much as i love it, i don't think he would:confused3 ).
sooooooooo
the best seats available for our dates are first row on the aisle, or 2nd, 3rd, etc row closer to the center the further back you get.
any input on which you would choose?

also, i only see the multi-day pass & fla res discounts ~ any idea if there are any others (AAA, etc)?

& one more: how much is parking? (it's been a while:rolleyes1 )

thanks for any & all help!:)

We have been to the Blue Man show for the past two years. I don't think there is really a bad seat in the place since it is nice and small. We were in the center section just past the poncho area. We were in the second row one year and in the fourth row this year. I gues it would just depend on if you want to wear a poncho or not as to how close you want to sit.

According to Universal's website, the parking fee is $12.00 per day in the garages and $20.00 per day to valet. The past three years we have stayed on-site and it is $16.00 to self park and $22.00 to valet. Even when we parked when just going to parks we valeted since I didn't want to hike through the parking garages.

As far as discounts, we always purchase our tickets from AAA before we leave home. You can't get the AAA discount at the gates in the parks. Not sure if there are better discounts out there but the AAA price has always been very good and its nice to have the tickets in hand and not have to go to the ticket windows at the parks.

Hope this helps. The Blue Man is fantastic and so much fun, you should really enjoy it.

uh-uh.......poncho area actually means to wear one? (this sounds like high potential for fun!! lol)

i (finally) found the link on AAA's website, but it keeps asking for a "convention code". using the code they gave on their website gives me an error page, & entering the "club code" on my card gets an "invalid code" response. maybe i can try one of their offices?:confused3

btw: your post was very informative, francie ~ thank you!

If you can get in the first row or poncho go for it. I've been to the show many, many times and personally I love this area. There is a high potential for some "interaction" with the blueman, also yes, you will be wearing a poncho. Being able to be that close and see their facial expressions also is a perk, sometimes you just want to laugh out loud at their reactions. Let us know what you decide. And if you have any more questions feel free to ask or PM me. I'd be happy to help.

In regards to the discounts I'm not so sure. I normally buy mine day of at the box office but you may want to give them a call and ask if anything applies...

Call 888.340.5476 or 407.224.3200 Box office open from 9am to 7pm daily.

well, i was able to get the tix thru AAA (10% discount :thumbsup2 ) for the 9PM show on sat, oct 4.
the seats are AA (first row poncho) 14 & 15 center (15 is 3 seats off aisle).
sound good?
another question(s)?
am i correct in assuming there is no park admission required?
can we hang around on citywalk before/after?
any tip/hints/suggestions?

i really appreciate everyone's help....i was incredibly clueless about this, & your comments really made it so much easier.

You do not need entrance to the parks to get to Blue Man. There is an entrance between the entrance to Universal Studios and NBA City. You can't miss it, there are large pictures of the Blue Men at the entrance. The doors to the show open about 20 min. before the show, so you don't have to be there extremely early. Have a great time.

We selected first row in the center. The person sitting next to me was selected by them to go up on stage and another time they walked on the arm rest of our chairs to adventure futher into the audience. In our case the poncho area are was very interactive and the poncho they provide came in handy.

Your ticket entitles you entrance into the City Walk night clubs (normally seperatly priced) so you can certainly spend some time there after the show. The walk way is between the UO entrance and Hard Rock Cafe. As stated earlier no park entrance required.

Thanks I didn't know that here's what there website states:

After experiencing the wildly popular Blue Man Group, enjoy FREE ADMISSION* to select CityWalk® venues with the presentation of your Blue Man Group ticket stub.

Just got off the phone - the only club that doesn't accept it is Red Coconut! I'll post if I have any problems with the stub after Friday's show!

Thanks so much for posting this you just save me money which I'm going to spend on a my friends instead.

Do it all the time, of course the only club I tend to frequent is Rising Star. But it's lots of fun. Karaoke with a live band and back up singers, plus a nice menu with very reasonable prices ($7-$10 per meal). Might make a nice after show dinner/drinks/entertainment.

Yes, they provide the ponchos in the poncho section. You can keep them or discard them. They don't have a BMG logo or anything on them.

Any other questions feel free to ask...;o)

well, you did offer....;)
what time are the clubs open until? b/c rising star sounds like fun, but i figure we won't get out of the show until 11:30ish.
unless we do RS around 6pm, & go to the show afterwards. decisions, decisions :confused3 lol

edited: & another: there is a HHN show that evening, so it looks like we'll have to pay for parking anyway. the website says to bring your BMG ticket stub for entry into the clubs, but if we go before the show, we will have the tix, not stubs. any thoughts?

btw, enjoyed your website:thumbsup2

Is the 'Poncho' zone like the 'Splash' zone at Seaworld!!??:rotfl2: Do you get very wet/messy? Trying to decide where to sit also, we will be with my 8 year old son who would love to get involved I'm sure!
Debsx:cutie:

Hi again...sorry was in NYC! ;o)

Rising Star is open till 2am. There won't be much going on prior to 8pm or so that I'm aware of, if it's even open. I've only gone at night.

I'm sure you can show them your tickets for free entry.

hope you enjoyed your trip ~ what did you get to do?
