How far in advance does one need to buy tickets? We are going to be there Nov 21-24, the Sat to Tues before Thanksgiving. Any good discounts anyone has found/used?

They are on Groupon regularly for $49, no November dates yet.

Darn, you're the first person I've seen to mention that these tickets are available on Groupon! Sure wish I'd known since it would've saved us over $50.

But OP, I bought mine (2) back in early June for a late October date. At that time a large amount of desirable or "good" seats were already taken which pushed me to purchase right then and there. Perhaps check your dates to see how full the venue is getting on your desired attendance night. It may be a good idea to check a crowd calendar as well, but my understanding is that tickets are always available even last minute. :-)

I'm no groupon expert but have signed up for Orlando deals. The blue man deal has definitely been on for a few months, not sure if constantly or not. Current deal is September dates.

There are annual pass holder discounts, college student discounts, and military discounts that I know of.

Great! So if they don't renew the Groupon for November I will remember to use the passholder rate. Unless I have to have it at the time of ordering, since I won't be purchasing the passholder ticket until arriving and upgrading.

Just found the link:
https://www.universalorlando.com/Theme-Park-Tickets/Annual-Passes/Benefits.aspx

and then the "purchase ticket link"
https://uor.insiteticketing.com/findtickets.aspx?productid=5285&aid=unv000000100:

Now that I'm looking at it it's only showing that rate for September (which is pass holder month.) I would just keep an eye out closer to date. There are discounts to be had I'm sure!

a good time to go for the ap discounts is september.

that is the month of AP appreciation and good deals.

Is that going to help me for a November date or do you mean only expect an AP rate for September, not November?
the special that is going on for this month is only for this month of AP appreciation month.

don't know what the ap rate will be in november at this point.

i have seen ap specials for june before and a couple of years in october.

there are ap discounts for all months regularly, but not the type of
discount for this month right now.

the discount varies by amount.

For anyone looking for Blue Man Group tickets for Octtober, Travelzoo released an offer this morning for tier 1 seating for $49. It covers 36 different shows from September 29th to October 30th. I'm pretty sure the mods wont allow me to post a link to the offer, but I'm sure you can find it easily if you google it.

For those thinking of taking advantage of the groupon offer for BMG tix in September, you can save an additional 25% per ticket (up to 3) by using the code SUPER3 if purchased either today or tomorrow.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. I hope there will be something similar for November and if anyone notices, please kindly post it here!

We've already got out October tickets but that is a great price with the code. If you don't mind Gina I'll add it to the post about the offer on the UK board.

Are the groupon deals offered pretty regularly does anyone know? We aren't going till later this year so the current one won't work but I'm wondering if I should get my hopes up that another deal may come out...

A good rule of thumb is to always keep looking, but never get your hopes up. Groupon is hit and miss. You might see a great offer repeated down the road, and......you might not!
