OMG, I wanna add Blue Man Group to our trip itinerary. I don't know what rock I have been sleeping under, but I just figured out this was a possiblity for our trip.

I am not too sure that poncho level is going to be my style, but if we decide to throw caution to the wind, how far back in poncho level should we be to be able to enjoy the show without neck pain?

If we decide to go to Zone 1, would you go for the first two or three rows or a bit further back still?

For those who might know, are there areas that are more friendly with Pooh sized hips?

Thanks to everyone that I expect will respond. I am so excited! Maggie

I've seen BMG on tour in Baltimore and in the original NYC theater. My understanding is the Universal show carries on the basic traditions of the other shows.

So where to sit? Since you're in front of your computer, move up so your face is about 6 inches from the screen. Wow, aren't these words clear so close up! Too bad it's hard as heck to read the rest of this sentence, not to mention there's no way of making out what's happening on the rest of the screen! Throw some colored water on yourself and there you go, a pretty good idea of what the BMG is like from the first couple of rows.

The show is expansive, there's stuff on giant screens you don't want to miss, and are some things you just can't appreciate unless you're back a bit! My advice to aim for half-way back in the theater, as close to the middle of the row as you can get. You'll enjoy the show so much more, and the BM do come out into the audience at some point so you won't feel left out even at the very back. Honestly, anyone in the podcast area or even the first half of the theater is missing out on A LOT!

When I saw the arena show a couple in front of us came in late and politely sat down with their hands in their laps. They left early while the rest of us were jumping up and down screaming our heads off. Do yourself a favor and get there in time for the pre-show, there's some inside jokes you'll miss throughout the show otherwise. Leave your pride at the door and just be silly. The show is really fun if you let yourself get sucked up into it, after you see it you'll know what I mean. Kids, especially pre and early teens, will freak.

PS For anyone who has seen the universal show 1) did the 9/11 piece make it into this newest show? 2) FLOPPY THE BANJO CLOWN RULES!!

The show is more family oriented. The 9/11 piece did not make it, and floppy the banjo clown is not a huge part of the show.
That being said, I have seen the show 3 times......once didnt count, it was the media show and only had three songs.....
The first time we were center in Row H Zone 2. Amazing seats....we were able to see perfectly.
The second time we were in Zone 1 Row C left, on the aisle......Phenominal seats. I would recommend getting those to zones if you can, and stay on the aisles or the center. There really is not a bad seat in the house, really. Even if you sit way in the back, its not that far from the stage, you can see things quite well, and they tend to pick you for audience participation more if you are in those sections.
The seats themselves......I dont speak disney, I dont know what Pooh sized means.........but, my wife is fat. She has a huge butt, and she readily admits it. She fit decently, it wasnt constricting the life out of her. So if you have fat, or pooh, or whatever......you should be pretty good to go.
And it is good for all ages, though if you have smaller kids, I would recommend getting the CD's and get them pumped up first before you go.
Here's a vid, and if you hit the user button there are several more from the Orlando show as well:

Just curious, is there any place to buy tickets other than online at the universal website? I assume unlike the park tix, these have to be used on the specific show date/time and if you miss it for some reason (like your trip is canceled for some reason) you can't get refunded.

No refunds, assigned seating, set date/times. You can also get tickets by calling or at Guest Services, or at the box office at the theater itself.

If you wait until day of, most likely you only will get zone 3 or 4 seats (Which are at the back and a little cheaper than the front zones) But still there isn't really a bad seat in the house.
