Blue Lagoon vs. Blue Lagoon Island VIP

Has anyone done the VIP version? The description says that lunch might contain fish. Did it? I did like the Blue Lagoon Beach Day last trip. I was wondering if it is that different\better.

I have not tried the VIP excursion, I think it's new.

But from what I understand, the new VIP section is on another beach (the one behind the BBQ section) that my husband and I liked more than the lagoon itself.(Even though it is a bit rocky)

It is not Castaway Cay but it is very nice.

If I had to go back and had the VIP option, this is the one I would pick.

I was looking at this excursion and comparing with the Balmoral beach excursion option -- do I understand correctly that this one does NOT have access to swimming pools, just the beach?

Blue lagoon only has the beach. The lagoon is calm and didn't seem to go over 6ft deep. The other side of the Island is on the open water.

Thanks, @mmfox316! My younger son is still in diapers and can't use the pools on the ship, so I wanted to try to get him at least one pool day on our upcoming trip! Nassau is usually a throw-away port for us, so I'm busy investigating options for the first time -- I appreciate your feedback.

I'd make sure you've checked the rules for any pools you're considering as many do not allow swim diapers for hygienic reasons. It would be awful to book something thinking that the pool was an option only to learn when you're there that no diapers are allowed.
