We are headed on our cruise in July with children 7,5 and almost 3. I really am unsure about what to do in Nassau. Both excursions sound fun, but I need your help! Which do you recommend? I have always wanted to see Atlantis but with the unreserved day room I get nervous about that but it seems like the best option there, unless we do the Disney day. Blue Lagoon sounds wonderful and secluded. HELP! Which would you recommend??!! :confused3

Atlantis was nice, the kids loved seeing where the movies that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen was filmed but the Blue Lagoon was awesome. Nice cove beautiful beach, dolphins, water sports, restaurant. Eveything you would want in paradise!!!

What movie are you refering to? I'm sure my girls would love to see that...since we spent the day at Atlantis last Sept.

OP...keep in mind if you go with the Disney excursion to Atlantis...you don't get to use the pools or slides. I know the worry of not getting the day room...and then being lost on what to do. If your set on doing the "day room thing" at Atlantis....you could call from the ship (or the dock) and try and secure your room. If it's a no go....and they're out of day rooms...then maybe try the Blue Lagoon...on your own (Or see if you can still get in with Disney...but most excursions you can book and do on your own). Be flexable...I'm sure you and your family will have a wonderful day at either.

I'm having the same debate about what to do with my dds, ages 3 and 6. I'm a little concerned about the boat ride over to blue lagoon-both my kids have motion sickness, and the brochure says it takes 40 minutes. also, on both excursions, I'm a little concerned about being stuck there without an easy way back in the event the little one really needs a nap. maybe i would be better off going to cable beach on my own so we could come back on our own schedule. any advice?

I can tell you that we went to the blue lagoon years ago when it was owned by the big red boat folks; and it was absolutely beautiful. As a matter of fact, I booked the excursion this time around. I thought about Atlantis, but I would want to do the pools if I were there. Too much of a tease for my little one. And the whole day room thing seemed a little complicated and too pricey since they ahve a limit of 5 in a room. We would have had to book 2 separate rooms. I also read a post awhile back where a dis member tried to get a day room at Atlantis and they told her they had no idea what she was talking about (quite rudely, too.) Too shady for me.

If your thinking of doing the day room thing at Atlantis...there is height limits/restrictions for the slides...Our dd6...was just a couple inches short...so she was not able to do most of the slides they had. Of course she was able to swim and use the little slides (maybe 5-6ft....that takes you from one pool to the next.) So unless your dd's 3 & 6 are REAL tall for their ages...you may be better off skiping the day room thing. The walking tour of Atlantis...is just that ALOT of walking. You do get admission to "The Dig" aka aquarium...but it's not a super duper not to be missed aquarium...sure it's neat.....but for the price they ask...it's not worth it. But thats JMO. The Atlantis Beach day...may be a good choice...you get acess to the private beach, lunch and admission through the dig. Also....getting back to the ship from Atlantis..is just a short 10min taxi ride. The one bonus of doing the day room...would be the use of the room for nap time. I haven't done the Blue Lagoon...but do remember reading about it and it did sound like it would make a real nice day.

But anyway...I did want to make sure you knew there were hight restrictions for the slides. :wave2:
