Blue lagoon excursion - ferry schedule

I'm still trying to figure out if we will have enough time to do the dolphin swim. We booked directly w/ Dolphin Encounters so we can do the actual swim (not the encounter that DCL books). We arrive in Nassau at 9:30 per our confirmation form from DCL. I don't know if we will make it to the ferry dock on P.I. in time, so I was thinking of booking a later swim but then I would be worried about making it back to the ship in time for departure at 5:30.

I'm thinking it may be an option to book the Blue Lagoon excursion through DCL because at least I know there must be a ferry scheduled that would get us back to the ship on time.

Does anyone know what time the last ferry leaves Blue Lagoon (for the DCL excursion) ??

I can't remember exactly what time our excursion was scheduled for when we went, but it was the earlier one. I'm thinking it was around 10. I know that when you schedule an excursion thru Disney, they have a meeting point somewhere on the ship for everyone going on that particular excusrion. We met in one of the lounges, and then one of the CM's went over some stuff with us. We waited for about 15 min. or so, and then we were escorted over and got on the ferry over to Paradise Island. On the way over, they took us directly there. I remember that it took about 20 minutes or so to get there with no stopping.

There are ferrys that leave from Blue Lagoon every 30 minutes, I believe. The Dolphin Encounter is also located on the island, so you would be able to get back at a decent time. I think that when we went, we took one of the first ferrys back so that we would have plenty of time to shop and then get back to the boat. I think that if you tried to re-schedule your Encounter for around 11 or so, then you should be safe getting back to the ship on time.

I read that if you book the Dolphin Excursion through Disney that the ferry you take comes back at either 2 or 4. I wonder if I could take a ferry earlier then this to come back and shop? We have early dining so I figure by 4 I will want to be back on the ship.

Just came back from the 06/12 trip...We took the Encounter Ferry at 9:30 and came back on the 2 p.m. ferry...there was another one that was leaving at 4 that day. The ship didnt leave Nassau until 2 a.m. (but our itinery in the booklet stated like 7 p.m.) We had a great time---our dolphin was Stormy---Have a great time!!!!!
