Has anyone stayed at the Blue Heron Resort in Lake Buena Vista? Any comments about this place would be appreciated. I am beginning to scout places for 2010.

I've been there a couple of times and love it - will definitely be using them again.

Hi we stayed there for almost a month in March 2008. We loved it. We had the one bed condo with the bunk beds for the kids in the corridor - sounds odd but worked well for us.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a free shuttle to the parks and the driver was fantastic, fun and friendly with lots of tips and advice. Always on time and also did free pick ups when we called him from the parks. He was so good we took the hire car back a week into our holiday.

The pool areas were clean and quiet. The views from our balcony over Lake Brian were lovely, esp the sunrise and sunset. We were on a low floor but managed to catch glimpses out the front of some Disney fireworks few times.

Lots of restaurants near by. I think there was a CCs Pizz nextdoor, STarbucks was not quite open when we were there but must be now, dunkin donuts very close by which was handy for a seriously unhealthy but very quick grab it and run brekkie when we wanted to hit the parks early. Walgreens just across the road.

We would return without hesitation and would highly recommend. Sadly it seems their room rates have rocketed since our stay so I am not sure if we will ever afford to stay there again now.

The Blue Heron Resort is a cosy little place consisting of well kept cottages, each with its own view of the lake and the Village of Buckhorn. All cottages have 3 bedrooms and are fully equipped with: 3 Piece Bath - Electric Heat - Electric Range Refrigerator - T.V.

I think you are a little confused. The Blue Heron Resort discussed here is in Orlando, Florida, not Canada.
