Blue Goose Trip

I was able to call yesterday and make those ADR's that are listed on the front page so far!! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

So if anyone has any ADRs to make, you can go ahead and do it. And if you want me to add anything to the front page schedule just let me know.

Also, the dates are out for MNSSHP. They will be having one of November 2nd while we are there!!

That was the night scheduled for Earl's in DTD followed by the Adventurers Club.

Now I am thinking personally I might want to do MNSSHP instead. I went last year on a Friday and it was a freakin mess. A zoo!! Wall to wall people. I hated it and vowed never to go again.

However, I missed the parade and now I am torn since I really want to see it.

So anyways, just an FYI to give people more choices. And make it more confusing. :rolleyes1

I bought ticket Beth for that Friday night... I'm going to Mnsshp. I have never been so I really want to go...

I went the last 2 years teresa and really enjoyed it. :goodvibes Already bought my ticket for this time as well. Since it's the last night just think of how much candy we can get. :rotfl: :lmao:

btw last year's parade was great. :cool1:

Can someone tell me more about MNSSHP? What do you do there? Do most people dress up? Are tickets hot items and would I need to buy one now? How much?

and most importantly . . .

Will I regret doing this and not having my kids with me? Meaning, will I look around and see all these cuties in costume and long for my babies to experience it with me? I don't think Adventurer's Club (which I have only been to once and didn't appreciate it - many years ago, I'm hoping for a new outlook this go around) or other adulty things, would give me those same feelings.

Did you? I'm still thinking about it.

I've seen pics of the parade and it looks awesome!

Last year we went on a Friday. Sept. 29, I think it was. I was looking forward to it so much and when we got there it was packed. I wasn't prepared for the crowd.

Plus I had problems with my ankle last trip, so between the crowds, the heat and my ankle, I left early and missed the parade.

Hi Laura!

For more info on it, there is a thread with tons of info on the Theme Parks board. I'd post a link but my computer is acting up right now. It's called The Official MNSSHP 2007 thread or something like that.

They have a special parade and fireworks. Also some more of the villians are out that you usually don't see.
Some people dress up and some don't. Just depends. I was going to last year and then it was just too hot! :sad2: So I just wore a Halloween tee.

There are alot of kids in cute costumes, but only you will know how you'll feel about that. :confused3 It won't bother me cause I am taking mine out trick-or-treating on Halloween so I'll be ok with it. lol

But the AC is really fun too. I would definitely give that another go around this time, even if it's on another night. We have two ladies, Kat and Catherine, who are experts on the AC and will probably be there every night. Plus I will want to go there one night. I'll have to squeeze that in somewhere.

I guess at this point I am more leaning towards going to MNSSHP. I'll just go with more of an open mind and expect crowds and as long as I see the parade, I'll be happy. :)

I think tomorrow I will try and call to buy my ticket and also to make an ADR that night for Liberty Town Tavern for dinner. Just to have it. :thumbsup2

Oh man, the only sure thing with these trips, is there is no sure thing. Nothing. Everything is open to change right up until we set foot on the plane!! :rotfl2:

It's true, ask anyone who went last time. :rotfl:

Which isn't to say that Earl's still isn't a possibility for those who want to do it. From what I can tell so far, everyone is sort of planning to do their own thing this time around. We tried to keep groups together last time and it was too hard. Everyone is a WDW veteran and knows what they want to do and when.

I think at this point, I will just plan to do the things I know I want to do and then if anyone wants to join me they are welcome too. Seems the safest way to do it. ;)

Okay...I will still plan on being at Earl's--even if I am eating the Florentine (or the Caprese!) by myself! :goodvibes

Are you making the ADR for just you or are you making it so ppl can sign up if they want? Also I'm showing tomorrow May 4th as my 180 days not May 5th.

For the ADR's they had told me on two different occasions that we could start making them on May 5th but I actually made mine much sooner than that even.

So if you want to make some call now. :thumbsup2

As for the LTT ADR, I made it already too. I'll post it on the front page now for those going to MNSSHP who want to eat there.

Hmm MNSSHP sounds like fun, there will be one when I am there in September, but I don't think Brandon would be interested. I might have to join you on the 2nd!

Also! I'm planning on NOT going shopping on Sunday the 4th, god knows I do enough of that here. I am thinking about going to Tea at the GF in the afternoon. If anyone is interested please PM me. I'm going to make an ADR for 4 people in the morning for say 3pm. I can always change it later. I am also making an ADR for 7pm for OHANA on the night others are going to Kona. Let me know if that interests any of you either.

I am NOT going shopping either and would consider the tea. Do you have to dress up? The only tea I am familiar with is the one for kids. Tell me more. Is anyone else NOT going shopping?

Tea is casual dress with formal service. Its held daily in the same place they do the "my little girl's tea party." The menu can be found here: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_gft.htm
Bridget has already asked me to add her, so there are two spots left. I don't know if it will be a problem to add a group or add people to my group I can try if more people are interested.

thanks for adding me to the GF tea Heather. I have available:

11/05/07 Boma 6:10 pm room for 3 more - message me if you want on this ADR :goodvibes

OKay Bridget and Heather, I added your ADRs to the front. If I missed anything just let me know. And as people ask to be added to your ADR's let me know and I can add them up there.

One word of caution, if I haven't said it already, when it comes to the ADRs you don't want to make it for too many.

We learned this last year, if you have an ADR for 8 and only 6 sign up/show up, they won't seat you. They will make you wait until there is a table for 6, which could be awhile.

And if you call to cancel or reduce an ADR, for example I booked one for 10 people but only 5 sign up, it can be a pain to change it. They first cancel the one you had and then try to rebook you.

Some CMs are good at it and some don't seem to know what they are doing.

So as it gets closer, if you have an ADR that is mostly empty and it looks like no one will be signing up, you might want to reduce that sooner rather than later.
Just an FYI.

I cannot wait to go again. I will have a whole different mind set this time, so hopefully it will be alot more fun.

Teresa, are you going to eat dinner there? Heather has an ADR at 6:30 for Tony's if you are interested.

Thanks for the info Beth! I'll be sure to call if my ADRs don't fill! (and talk to a CM who can just reduce my number--or I'll go to concierge when I get there and tip big to fix whatever the problem is) I am so excited to go to MNSSHP!!! Now I need a really good costume!! only 5 months to think about it!!
