Blue eye shadow

Do you ever wear blue eye shadow, and does it make you think you're in the 60's when you wear it? I put on some blue eye shadow this morning and I took it off because it made me think I was in an Austin Powers movie.

I've never worn blue eyeshadow and don't really know anyone who does. BUT, I do know someone who wears blue mascara! Not a navy blue but an electric blue. She says it brings out her blue eyes . She wears it everyday, even when we go to our formal fire dep't dinner party each year.

It's going to be really big this year. It's in every magazine, from Lucky to Cosmo and even the teen mags. Chanel even made a special "denim" eyeshadow set, it really looks like jeans! Too cute, but I could never ever pull off any blue eyeshadow with my coloring. I look like a freak.

When I wore eyeshadow everyday, I was really into different colors and matching my makeup with my clothes. so I wore lots of blue eyeshadow...but it was a really light, subtle blue that I think looked fine as long as I didn't wear too much. Now I only wear eyeshadow if I'm getting really dressed up or something, so it's usually not blue.

I've got some on right now as a matter of fact. It's fairly dark blue, just in the crease and above my lash line. I put in on over a really neutral beige base and highlight my brow bone with an off-white.

I could never pull of blue eye shadow but my DD16, red haired, blue eyed and very pale, has a shade of blue that looks very good on her. She doesn't pile it on but it is very subtle on her.

I have worn it before, but not for a couple years probably. When I was younger I would match my eyeshadow to my clothes...but that stopped quickly, since I would change my clothes so often. Now I usually just wear a combo of a few shades of brown, blended.

I wear navy blue eyeliner with a brown matte shadow. It does really make my blue eyes stand out. I also wear blue mascara, but most people have no idea unless they happen to see me in bright sunlight.

blue eyeliner is okay PoohBear.... Just that SCREAMING robin's egg blue, nasty, put on with a putty knife eyeshadow gets the tacky award.

I've never worn blue eye shadow but I used to work with this woman, wow, Tammy Faye had nothing on this lady! She had the big bleached blonde hair, bright blue/shimmery light blue mixed eye shadow that covered her ENTIRE eyelid all the way to her very black brows, dark blush and the hottest pink lipstick I have ever seen in my life. She would come to work like this every day. I saw her recently for the first time in about 4 years and she still has the same exact look.
