Is anyone aware if we can simply take a look at this restaurant? I don't have the money or time (only there for one day) to eat here but I REALLY want to take a look at the themeing. I have heard so many neat things.

Current Refurbishments

Disneyland
Mad Tea Party – April 28 - May 15
Pirates of the Caribbean – April 28 - May 30
Blue Bayou Restaurant – April 28 - May 30
Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough – indefinite
Space Mountain – through 2005
_

If this is during your trip, you will not be able to see the restaurant--normally you could just go on pirates and see it or ask a CM at the door to let you go in and look around.

hope this does not impact your trip!

Darnit - it does impact my trip, but just abit.

Now the sleeping beauty walkthrough (THAT makes me disappointed; the scenes were one of my oldest memories of when I was 5 yrs old and I was really looking forward to that.)- I take it take means we can't even walk up to the gate and peer through huh?

Or is the drawbridge closed as well?

you can still walk through the castle on the drawbridge but the sleeping beauty walk through is closed permanently--I was the last person who actually went through this right after 9/11--security was following me out and closed it up for security risks. I have heard it will never reopen--it is a very sad thing!

Wow.... I didn't know it would never open again.
Do you know of any articles detailing the walkthrough or explaining the closure?

Now - I have only been to WDW recently, and I am more familiar with Cinderella Castle where all you do is walk right through the castle and the only way you get to actually 'go into ' the castle is to eat at the Royal Table.

Is sleeping beauty castle more intricate - as in you walk into the depths of the castle more instead of just walking straight through?

Will I be able to see the scenes from the movie at all or were those part of the exhibit that was closed?

I apologize - I asked you the same question twice. I understand that the walkthrough for the scenes are now closed.

Sorry!

The only thing you would miss from the actual ride is the lobby and the restrooms. You would actually have a better perspective of the theming of the Blue Bayou from the PoC than from the tables.
