I would like to take my daughter and her husband to lunch at the Blue Bayou, but can't afford to spend a fortune on it.

I'm also a little wary of the menu because our men are "meat and potatoes" kind of eaters and the food looks pretty fancy.

Any suggestions?

My kids got kids meals and my husband and I split the monte cristo sandwich. It was filling and I think we spent less than $60. I liked it but do not think we are going back this time.

We all had the steak and potatoes, as that's the kind of eaters we are too. We went for dinner. But it was pricey, we spent $130 on the nose, including tip.

Another possibility is to eat an early lunch elsewhere in the park, and then make reservations for 2 or 3:00, and just have dessert at BB. That's what I'm planning to do in August, because I love the atmosphere in there, but I don't want to spend my entire food allowance on one meal LOL!

Flying Dutchman Cookie Boat, here I come!:hyper:

They'll let us have just dessert? That's a good idea! This is my SIL's first time to visit any Disney park and I want to add just a tiny sprinkle of Pixie dust to his visit.

There was a whole thread on this very subject awhile ago, and while some posters said that they thought it would be looked down upon to just have dessert (spend less $), many others said that they had done it and it was very acceptable.

The prime rib is yummy, but even for lunch you are probably looking at $100. Dessert is a great idea to keep the cost down.
