Blue Bayou light up menus!

Oh thank goodness.
Still debating on whether or not to go because last time I visited try as I might I couldn't get a table (it was spring break and my first time at any Disney resort). Minor issue but there was no way my mother would have been able to read the menu before.

It was a great experience- we requested a waterside table and had to wait a bit longer but it was well worth it. It's $$ but food was delicious and the service was excellent. :)

If you want to try it, definitely go. We loved that meal when we went in 2013 (first time to DLR) and when DH and I went for an "Adult's only" trip that was the only restaurant that we booked. We are heading back there in June (the whole family) and I have it booked twice during our trip...one for the PTN dining package and the other just because we really enjoy it there.

OP, those menus look awesome, can't wait to see them in June. That was one thing I remembered about dining at the restaurant...how dark it was and hard to see the menus.

Go! Make a reservation 60 days in advance and you'll be good. Most times you don't even need 60 days (we've made ours a week out without a problem) but just in case.

Yes, the new menus are cool, no need for the "avert your eyes... I will now harness the power of the sun" cell phone light to read the menu! The 60-day reservation isn't a must but gives you piece of mind and you can cancel if you change your plan. BB tip, plan extra time so you dont feel rushed, mind you dont be a jerk and "hang out" while others are waiting for a table, but don't feel like you have eat and run. It's a great place to slow down a bit and enjoy the theme, and ambiance especially if you get a waterside table. It's one of our "must do's" each trip.

This cracked me up! Worthy of a thread---yes! I loved the new menu. So much easier to see.

Thought the new backlit menus at Blue Bayou were so cool today. The ambiance is dark in there so this was so much better than using my phone to read with ;)

Thanks for the pic ... it will be nice not to use my phone to read the menu! Maybe, we will have to book a meal there in July just to check out the light up menus! Plus, we like the food there too. LOL

YAY now we can see what we are ordering! I tried to use the little "candle"light on the table, once... yah that didn't work too well :rotfl:

Several of the bars on Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream have light-up menus...and light-up ice cubes! :-)
