Blue Bayou Fantasmic Dinner question

I'm trying to plan out my summer vacation as much as I can and I really want to do the reserved seating for Fantasmic. I've read the menus and everything and I'm wondering if anyone has come across our scenario. My husband will not eat anything that's on the price fixe menu. He's a very picky eater and survives mostly on "kid" food, ie burgers and fries, grilled cheese, etc). Does anyone know if we could possibly order him a double of the kids mac and cheese? I've seen where others have done this before, but not for the Fantasmic dining.

The rest of us (me and 3 kids) all like the menu otherwise. I'd hate for us all to miss out (ie stand) because one person doesn't like the menu, or to leave him out (that wouldn't go over well).

Anyone?

They don't do any substitutions on the prix fixe menu. You could offer to pay the adult price for the kid's meal, but the answer could be no. Is one of your kids young enough to order off the child's menu? Maybe they could order the mac and cheese and swap for his adult entree.

I was thinking the same thing SMD, have one of your kids order off the kid's menu what your husband wants, your husband orders off the adult menu what the kid wants, and then they just switch when the food arrives. If your kids aren't young enough, then I'm not sure what your options are! However I just ate there last week and had the Tesoro Island Chicken and even for a picky eater, I think this is a good choice. It is basically just chicken and mashed potatoes. There is some spinach on top of the potatoes, but it could have easily been "shaved" off to the side.

It's not really Prie Fix in the traditional sense. When the wife and I did it, all the normal offerings were available on the fantasmic dining. So I was still able to have my surf and turf, wife had salmon or chicken, I can't remember.

I actually have a similar question but in regards to my soon to be 10 year old. I realize that she'll be a Disney adult on our trip but she really would prefer the kids meal most places. We'd really like to do the BB Fantasmic dinner but would they let her order the kid's meal instead of the adult? We only have one Disney kid in our family and she's going to want her kid's meal so we can't have them switch. My concern isn't so much paying adult prices for our daughter, but the fact that she doesn't yet have adult tastes or an adult appetite.

If nothing on the BB suits your DH's tastes, what about the other Fantasmic sit down option?

My suggestion would be to call disney dining and see what advice they have. Or maybe the allergy number may be better to call.

I'll have to give them a call. RBTs menu is similar menu. No good option for him there either. And only 1 is a "Disney" kid and she's 4 so definitely wants her kids meal.

We used to do the old dessert option and I'm sad they stopped that.
