No reservations available for the day my wife will be at Disneyland. Do they hold any tables for walk-in's? If not do they take parties of one at the bar (if they have one)?

They do not have a bar. They have very limited walk up, if any.

Did you check to see if there are reservations for 3 or 4 people? Blue Bayou often has limited availability for tables of 1 or 2. You should be able to book a table for 3 and modify it to 2 later.

This is excellent advice when searching for tables for 2 at Disneyland. If you search for 4 people you get far more results than searching for 2. Once you book you can immediately edit it to only 2 people without issue. It’s not like these restaurants don’t have plenty of two-tops. I’ve always been seated at a two-top when I do this so I don’t feel like I’m somehow unnecessarily taking a four-top for 2 people.

I was able to find a Blue Bayou reservation about a week before my trip by searching often (for 4 people) and something popped up.

The walk-up prospects seem pretty futile. Every time I’ve dined there they’re always turning people away saying they have no capacity for walk-ups.

Yes thankyou a 4 person reservation was available. Is there a way to request a table by the water beforehand or do you just ask when you show up for your reservation?

Did you already modify it to 1 or 2? Do that as soon as possible.
What are the rules on altering the number of people to your reservation? My wife is traveling with 11 other people so some may want to join her for her reservation for 4 however if they don't when does she have to alter the number of people by?

There is no deadline, but availability to modify may become more restricted as more people book tables. You can modify it up as well, as long as there is availability.

So what happens if no one else wants to go can she just go by herself with a table of four?

I assume you’re referring to modifying the number the day-of. My experience and understanding is Disney doesn’t mind if you show up with fewer people and will allow you to still utilize the reservation. But you can’t have more people then the reservation is for.

I’m trying to get a reservation for 5 for mid-July but not having any luck. Is it that getting a reservation for 5 is almost next to impossible or that they don’t reservations maybe for over 4?

Looking for clarification and maybe some tips on how I can get a reservation.

A funny (at least to me) side note is that ever since the kids were little and we went on POTC ride, I always messed with them and told them the people in the restaurant were actually animatronics. They always said I was messing with them and I would always tell them to try and talk to them. Of course, the people at the restaurant can’t hear over all of the noise so over the years they’ve kind of questioned and thought maybe they are animatronics. Now that they’re teenagers, I was hoping to take them and surprise them. It would be a funny moment at least for my wife and I. lol.

We were able to get a reservation for 6 in April. There may just not be anything available since it's less than 60 days out?

Try looking for 6. Disney seems to prefer even numbers so there are more openings. And you won't be penalized showing up for less.
