Blue Bayou Dinner and Lunch Menu now the same

I see several changes since our last visit in September last year. They removed the prime rib and replaced it with a bone-in rib eye (yay!). A pan-seared bone-in pork loin is on the menu, too. Now I'm looking forward to eating there!

Blue Bayou is probably dead to us now. My daughter couldn't believe when I told her they took the Monte Cristo off the menu.

Ditto. We already changed our lunch reservation for Friday to Cafe Orleans. The Monte Cristo was the only reason my daughter wanted to go to Blue Bayou, and my daughter wanting to go was the only reason we would go. That place was already too overpriced, and now they eliminated lunch pricing. From now on I'll just enjoy the restaurant as I ride past it in a boat.

Something tells me once word gets out about this, reservations are going to plummet and they'll eventually have to add back the lunch menu or at least the Monte Cristo.

To everyone who is upset with this change, send a comment to Disney Guest Services. (Use the "contact us" link at the bottom of the DLR web site.) If people complain here, but don't say anything to Disney, management will think that guests are fine with their decision. Speak up to let them know that this matters to you!

Um yup. This was anniversary tradition and my husband always got the monte cristo. This last time we were not impressed with the food OR the waitstaff. Guess I'm done with BB. So sad.

This is VERY sad. We will be skipping it for our October trip, I think. Boooo.

I just tried and the Blue Bayou menu is currently not available on the Disneyland site. Maybe it was an error?
Hmm.. maybe the Disneyland menu was just unavailable temporarily. As I can see it, and it is still the same as yesterday. But wouldnt surprise me if the add it back at some point if they get enough complaints.

Blue bayou is not worth the additional cost unless you just have to have the ambiance. The food there is hit or miss. Cafe Orleans is a much better choice if you want good food. Better prices as well.
It honestly seems way too dark for me as well. I remember thinking the Rose Room at BOG in WDW was way too dark and pretty much ran out of it back to the Ballroom to get a seat- BB seems pretty similar.

Doubt it. They were filled up even before they added the Monte Cristo to the menu (it hasn't always been there). And it used to be prices were a bit cheaper at lunch than dinner but lately the prices were the same with just a couple dishes being held back to only serve at dinner.

I suspect it got cut because Disney wants to keep the dish prices closer to $40 for most people seeing as how the only $30 menu item is the vegetarian option now. Even Disney can't justify a $40 Monte Cristo... at least not yet.

This is exactly what I think. Clearly Disney wants to upjump BB as a more premium dining experience as it is a special immersive environment, and...they can.

We ate at Blue Bayou last week for dinner. One of the best meals I ever had! Got the filet, it and the salad was really good. Got Creme Brûlée for dessert.

We went to the Blue Bayou on Thursday (7/20). We were shocked when we saw the menu didn't have the Monte Cristo on it, since that's what we came for! Our waitress said they had just changed the menu temporarily. We were able to order the monte cristo even though it wasn't on the menu.

Thanks for posting this. I'm so happy to hear first hand from someone. I've been stressing out about this, because its' our favorite meal of the trip. Hope it's still available in October!
