BLT with Magic View?

I'm going to book our vacation this Dec. But we're contemplating whether we should go with Magic or Lake view.. or even go standard.

Any ideas?

There aren't many standard view rooms, so you'll be lucky to get one of those. MK views are wonderful, but of course you pay a premium for that view, so whether or not it's worth it is up to you. Lake views can be just as great, and some standard and lake views can offer MK views, either partial or full although from lower floors.

It's a terrific resort...my home resort! Enjoy!

My family and I stayed in BLT with a lake view this past August - it is the absolute best resort we have stayed at so far!! At first, we were upset because there wasn't a MK view available when I booked. However, after staying there, we had enough oportunities to see the MK from the hotel that we didn't miss not seeing it from our room. To watch the Fireworks, we watched from the floor where the elevators are - they have places to sit there and they weren't crowded - just me and my family. We also watched the Fireworks from the walk way bridge from the BLT to the Contemporary - that was a little more crowded, but was able to really enjoy the FW's and get some good pics from there.

I would suggest the Lake view and the use the money you save for something "magical" while you are there with your family.

We have yet to get a "standard view " room when we booked. We have done both the MK and lakeview. I love the MK view.... but after doing it once, I am not willing to spend the extra points for it. (dvc).
With the lakeview, each time we have had a view of MK from our room. It is angled to the left. It is great to watch the fireworks from your room, with the sound from the tv.

this is our home resort, and I love it !

Are you a DVC member? BLT is almost sold out, so that will make it harder to get a cash reservation there through Disney Reservation Center.
