BLT - what has been your experience?

tried to post this thread about 3 times and it would not let me. get I got carried away. So this time short and sweet

LOVE blt!!!

I'm wondering, because of the curve of the building, are the 1BR and 2BR units larger on the outside of the curve, than on the inside. This floorplan is showing a 1BR on the outside curve, and so it opens up closer to the window. Are the inside-curve villas straight, and so less roomy?

We stayed in an outside curve 1BR this past Dec and I swear it seemed roomier in the living room part. Could have been a little rearranging (smaller somewhere else), or just an illusion. But both me and DW thought this.

The convenience of the location of BLT is one of the primary benefits of the resort. There's something that's irreplaceable about the ability to walk to the main entrance of the MK in 10 minutes or less.

As far as the hotel goes, there are pluses and minuses. For food and beverage, you'll pretty much have to walk to CR for anything you want that can't be had out of a vending machine. But, that walk isn't so bad when you consider how long of a walk you might have if you were staying at the Boardwalk. Plus, you really don't get exposed to the weather (the suspended bridge is well-covered) when making that walk.

If you are someone who loves a great pool, BLT will leave you wanting more. The pools at Yacht/Beach, Grand Floridian and Polynesian blow away the pool at BLT (and at CR too).

The food choices available at the Contemporary are very good. The counter service at Contempo Cafe are fresh and tasty. Table service at Cali Grill and The Wave are very solid. If you like loud noises, rowdy kids, characters and stale food, then Chef Mickeys could be your dream meal.

For those without young children, the location of the Epcot resorts will provide better access to more age-appropriate entertainment.

My wife and I very much enjoyed Yacht/Beach when it was just us. For the past few years, we've enjoyed the location of BLT with our DD5. In a few years, we expect to return to the BCV.
