BLT Waitlist chances

So I have a reservation in August from the 6th to the 12th. We want to now stay until the 13th but BLT has no openings for the night of the 12th. What are my chances? What should I do in the meantime?

What type of room?

I'd book a resort room as a split-stay, room only. It can be canceled if WL comes through.

I think your chances are good. 1 bedrooms are the easiest to get, along with lake view.

I agree. Chances are probably VERY good that it will come through.

You've already booked the other nights, right? And just wait-listing the final night? But have an alternate location booked as back-up?

Keep checking independently for that final night, though. I've beaten my waitlist before by checking the website myself. It's not an automatic fill just because something opens up. MS has to go in and manually make the change (or they did up until last year anyway).

Another vote for your chances are good. I would keep watching the availability and if it shows up, grab it right away. I usually have more luck getting my own waitlist to fill then letting the member site fill it.

I am trying to switch to BCV from BLT...a 2 bedroom. What are your reasons for wanting to switch?

Ditto on having a good shot. You only need 1 night and the room and view you want are the easiest to get at that resort. Along with the waitlist, make you you check availability yourself. I have had great success doing this myself - but I stalk to the availability tool like a fiend when I am trying to piece together a reservation.

I agree with the others, a 1BR lake view at BLT for a single night gives you the best chance for a WL to come through. Good luck.

I don't have an alternate location yet. We are trying to figure out if we should book at another location or we could just come back a day early. I would prefer not to come back early though. Flights are better the next day.

We just got notified a week ago that our waitlist went through. We wanted a 2 bedroom at BLT (different time of year) and got exactly what we were wanting after a few weeks on the list, so hopefully you'll have good luck too!
