Much of the information you are looking for can be found in
work2play's excellent thread on BLT rooms and views (see
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2257082). There are many photos showing views from a lot of the rooms at BLT.
You mentioned in your original post that you want to stay at least on the 10th floor. Well, the only way you can guarantee that you wouldn't get below the 10th floor is if you book a BLT grand villa; all GVs are on the 15th floor. MK view rooms can be as low as the 3rd floor, and LV rooms can be as low as the second floor.
During our recent stay at BLT, we were in room #8028, an MK view studio on the 10th floor. When we stood on our balcony, we had great views of the Castle, Space Mountain, Seven Seas Lagoon, the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary, and the monorails. We could even see Mount Everest at Animal Kingdom, and the Tower of Terror and the Sorcerer's Hat at Hollywood Studios. We could also see BLT's parking lot, but it did not distract from our enjoyment of having views that we cannot have from any other hotel in the U.S.
I don't think one view is better than the other. Like
Tara says, there are some great standard views at BLT, too.
