Blt tours and fast passes

Last year we did a tour at BLT and were given special fast passes. Do they still do that?

The policy changes from time to time. DVD is only budgeted a given amount so they try to give them to buyers and first time tours. Your Guide may be different, you won't know if you don't ask.

I do not know if it's the case all the time (it may depend on who your sales rep is) but we received 12 fast passes just for taking the tour AND once we decided to join they gave us an additional 30 NO WAIT fast passes. The kids loved that!

We just returned from our trip on 6/23/11.

That's very cool CaliforniaDreamn! We could use 30 NO WAIT fast passes for our upcoming trip! We are hoping for a tour and maybe some free fast passes too.

Read the passes. Ours said must be used within 3 days of the date on the pass.

we'll be at BWV's in 13 days yeah! I really want to see BLT before I book there so I guess I will sign up for the tour. Do I do it at the DVC desk in the BWV lobby? The fast passes will come in handy traveling with a 4 yr and 17 month old.

How did you get the fast passes? I did the BLT last year but it was so crowded in the 2-bedroom that I did not really see how it looked. Thought I would give it another try.

When I toured BLT/TotWL they were not giving out fastpasses. It's a hit-or-miss thing.

If the fast passes are your only reason for touring, you'll most likely do better just to hit the rides at the times of day where the lines are shorter (think early on, during parades/shows, etc) and use the single rider lines when available.

The idea is the FPs are helping to recover some of the time you've lost taking the tour

Just so you know, they are no longer doing the BLT/TOTWL tour with FP. There is a new event for Aulani that starts on Tuesday the 28th. We are booked for it at 2:00 PM so I will report back after that.

We are at the World now. We did not go to the presentation but asked a DVC representative and they still give the fast passes. The timing of the presentation didn't work for us.

We actually met with a guide and were not offered fast passes as an incentive for just touring (we wanted to tour the new Aulani villas). However, we were offered 10 fast pass cards each (three of us) if we added on. And it's tempting because the on-site promo is awesome right now.

Like my wife (kamikazecat) said, we're going to a presentation tomorrow at 2 pm. So, we'll have some more info. Maybe this is taking the place of the BLT/TOTWL meeting.

The guide we spoke with said that the promos are changing on July 1.

We went to the presentation today at SSR and they were pushing Aulani at this one. It was a 40 minute presentation about Aulani and the new cruises. They did not give out any fast passes, we did however get a $40 GC to AMC Movies. We also got a DVC tote bag with a new DVC pad folio and they did a drawing for a $50 Disney GC. After the presentation, we did the tour in which they showed the Aulani and Kidani models and then there were snacks and you had an opportunity to meet with a guide. Hope this helps.
