Took the BLT for DVC owners today at 1PM.
Very nice tour. I really liked the lay out of the 1 bedroom, the 2nd bathroom is a smart idea.
Tour started at the Top of the World Lounge, coffee, juices and sandwiches were provided. The room was full of DVC members. Because it was a cool day most of us were wearing jackets and sweaters. It did get a little warm up there. Air conditioning might have helped.
After refreshments a trivia game was played with some nice DVC logo prizes.
Information about add ons and special incentives were provided.
Here is what my wife wrote down:
Add Ons base price per point currently are:
BLT $120
Grand Cal $112
SSR $112
AKV $112
No closing cost ($340 value)
Waived banking guidelines.
No dues for this year.
Get '09 points to bank. (For April year use on).
Preapproved financing at preferred rates for all.
A free Disney Cruise for up to 4 family members on Disney's new "Dream" ship or reduced price per point depending on how many points you purchase.
Cruise details:
100 points = 3 night cruise ocean view room
125 points = 4 night cruise ocean view room
160 points = 4 night cruise ocean view veranda room
200 points = 7 night Caribbean or Mexican Riv ocean view room
250 points - 7 night Caribbean or Mexican Riv Veranda room.
or instead of the cruise the cost of points can be reduced.
BLT = $8 to $14 off per point depending on amount purchased.
GCV, SSR, and AKV = $19 off per point.
I actually considered adding on and buying points at BLT, and would have but our year use is MARCH. The presentation made such a big deal about getting '09 points but since it was for April year use on we could not take advantage.
Everyone who attends the presentation received a nice DVC trading pin, a DVC pad folio, lanyards, and a carry bag and Fast pass cards good for three fast passes at any Disney World park.
It was a nice presentation, no high pressure sales.
