first question is do the thermostats need to be overridden, and then secondly how do you do it? Leaving today, woo hoo:) Thanks

overridden? Well when we stayed there they had it to where you can control it. You just had to push the buttons up or down. I would recommend leaving it on 75 because they do get really really cold really fast:)

To change ac thermostat settings the thermostat has to be put into "service mode" it is simple to do by pressing the following keys on the front of the thermostat.

Execute the following sequence:

1. Press (and keep pressed) the f/c key

2. Press (and release) the off/auto key

3. Press (and release) the display key.

4. Release the f/c key.

Upon successfully completing this sequence, the lcd will display par (parameter) and the parameter number.

1. Press the up arrow key and scroll until # 6 appears. (new models # 24)

2. Press the off/auto key

3. The current low temperature is displayed.

4. Press the down arrow key and scroll until the desired room temperature appears

5. Press the f/c key

Following this sequence will allow me to adjust the temperature throughout my stay as desired? Or will I need to repeat the sequence each time a change in temperature is desired?

We just stayed there and really, there's no need to do an override. I set it for 72-73 at night and we all froze (we slept under the sheets and blankets on all the beds but the heavy duvet cover on the master bed I folded up at night--it's really heavy). The temperature maintains at whatever you set it at.

You only need to do this once. All you are doing is lowering the allowable lowest temperature. e.g. lowering the minimum preset from say 68 to 60. After that, you can lower your temp anywhere down to that new allowable minimum (or above). We like sleeping at 61 or 62 which is why we most always need this formula.

What is it set at? When we stayed at CR the room was baking hot upon return from te parks.....the system there utilizes a motion sensor I think as the AC would come one when we moved around the room. The AC also went off at night! We had to have maintenance take care of it.:)

For those who do find it necessary to override the thermostat, please remember to return it to normal mode when you go to the park and at the end of your stay. Its good conservation.

I had no issue with the themostat at BLT. I just put it where I wanted and forgot about it. Very easy. When we left for the day, I raised the temp up to about 75..when we got in later in the day, I lowered it to 68. Need it to be cooler to sleep.

Nobody is actually "overriding" the thermostat. You are simply broadening the allowable temperature settings. Instead of your lowest setting being 68, you can make that setting 62. That doesn't mean it stays at 62, it simply allows you now to set it down to 62 when you want.

We too have found that the rooms with the motion sensors never seem to stay cool. I don't mind when I have been away at the parks all day, but at night it is just not comfortable. Is there anyway to turn the motion sensor off so the room will maintain the temp?

I understand allowing it to be set outside its "normal" range. If people need that to be comfortable while they are in the room thats fine. Its better conservation-wise to maintain a normal range while they are actually not in the room.

How can I do this at art of animation? It doesn't show par and the number

We had no problem with room temperature at night during our stay at BLT last week and earlier this week. Just set it and it stays. Now the exhaust fan in the shower area is a different matter. It needs motion to stay on. So if you take a hot shower and the room is humid, you may need to go back into the toilet/shower room every so often until the humidity is gone.

I found just slightly opening and closing the door to the shower helps. It doesn't seem to need much movement to start the fan again.
