Is that the MK view as well?.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but our home resort is VWL, we will be trying out BLT for 2 nights Theme park view, we are pretty excited about it.

DVC renamed Magic Kingdom View to Theme Park View. It was probably due to the fact that the view was not quite what some people were expecting.

FYI - IMO there really isn't much to see. Disney blocks the view with large trees and shrubs. You see the top of Space Mountain, the BLT parking lot and the top of the castle in the distance.

Thanks everyone. IT's really fine, we don't mind the view, this was a last minute 5 day trip that we booked a few days ago, and there able to do a split stay for, location close to MK was the most important thing for us with 3 small kids, and no access to a car, so it really worked out. We are still waitlisted for one day at SSR, which I'm crossing my fingers will come through, but all in all we are very happy.

Thank you

I can understand how some people enjoy some peace and quiet when not in the parks, but not us!!! We really enjoy theme park view!!! We love looking at Space Mountain as well as the Castle when it is all lit up at night. We enjoy watching the hustle and bustle of coming and going monorails, cars and buses. The train whistle as it goes around the park and the screams and laughter make you feel like you are right in the midst of everything. Then in the evening, we can sit in the comfort of our room and watch the fireworks!! My husband skyped his mom last year and she watched them as well off his computer!!!

So excited to be heading back!! Enjoy your trip. Your little ones will love it!!!

I agree that while the Theme Park view is mostly of a parking lot, lift your eyes up a bit (especially if on a high floor) and there is the castle and Space Mountain. Something neat too about watching the fireworks with music on the TV from your bedroom or livining room. Definitely worth doing once.

And if you have any kind of decent zoom on your camera, your pictures will make it seem even better to you afterwards!

Having done it once, not sure I would again (unless I could affotrd a Grand Villa!), but worth doing once.

I'm with you! The best thing about Theme Park view is being able to wake up and look out your window and see the castle. That's magical to me!
My only gripe is that in the XX28 rooms you can't see the castle unless you walk out on the balcony. :(

We had a wonderful MK "theme park" view when we stayed there in September. We could look straight out and see the GF and the monorail line, the CR to the left and the MK to the right. We requested a high floor and were put on the 11th floor. It was HEAVEN!

You can definitely see more than just the top of the castle. I guess it more depends on the floor you are on, but I know for 2013 a lot of rooms got reassigned to new categories helping fix that problem a bit.

We were on the 12th floor last week. It was amazing. We watched the fireworks every night from the balcony. DD got her bedtime bottle while hanging out with her daddy watching the castle change colors most nights (once during the fireworks). Every morning I would wake up and just sit at the window. Totally worth it!

I guess it depends on what you expect to see. Not much of a view for me.

Awwww! How cute!:cloud9: We'll be there in January and last time we had a high floor too! Loved sitting on the balcony watching Wishes. We got some really amazing sunset pics too.

We really liked it, partly because on the balcony you can hear the train and of course the fireworks. Also the castle is not all that small-the naked eye does better than a pulled back camera. We also like to take pictures-so what if its a zoom-its still a great capture you seldom can find. The other thing is at night, when we were lying in bed-all we could see was the castle or space mountain, never even closed the drapes-just couldnt do it. pixiedust:
