BLT theme park view 4th floor

We recently stayed at BLT theme park view and were given a unit on the 4th floor. I thought theme park views were supposed to start on the 5th floor but according to the cast members I spoke with at BLT it's 4th floor and up. We were only there 2 nights and our room was ready at 10:45 a.m. so I didn't pursue trying to move. It was too cold to watch fireworks from the balcony (I live in the Orlando area - anything below 60 & I'm freezing ) but with the large windows in the living room we had a great view.

While I know it's not an official source, Touringplans shows TPV rooms starting on the 4th floor.

I'd thought it was 5, but I'd have a hard time arguing that view as not quality TPV.

The other times we've had theme park view we were on floor 8 or 11. For fireworks this was just as good. I usually request high floor but decided this time to check the box that says we'd prefer whatever was ready first thinking it would be at least the 5th floor. I was shocked when I got the text at 10:45 a.m. saying our room was ready. I wasn't too happy when I got a text at 5 a.m. saying they were looking forward to welcoming us at the resort. The excuse I got for that was it's an automated system that sends out texts at random times.

I called member service to ask but all they did was call the resort and ask them. MS claims to have no information on what's considered a theme park view.

I am pretty sure all the maps I have seen indicate that Theme Park view starts on 5th floor.

You have to go by the official room map that they used to keep behind the check in desk. We also had theme park view on the 4th floor facing front last year. But 4th floor on the other side of the elevator (north tower) is standard but has a great view of fireworks. The map I’ve seen here on the disboards is incorrect. No fireworks last year so a waste of points anyway.
