BLT studio waitlist?

Did anyone have a BLT studio waitlist for December that came through? If so, when did you go on it? Was it before the 7 month "open season" or during it?

I wanted AKV, and got it, and was happy but then I invited a friend and I think BLT would just be better with her. Even if I owned at BLT, this was not a trip that I planned on in advance. I guess December really is PRIME time for DVC usage!

I recently talked to my DVC sales agent and he told me flat out that BLT books up superfast regardless of the time of year and that having it as a home resort is almost crucial to getting in there right now. I tried to book a stay there in late January (low-crowd season) and couldn't get in unless I went for a preferred view of some type (which pointwise i couldn't afford). I'm on waitlist anyway, but the situation isn't promising.

Oh you're so nice! We had a BLT stay last January for the Marathon weekend. It was 5 nights, very cold, but memorable just for being in the resort. I suppose that the people who buy BLT will stay there, I know I bought BCV specifically to only use those points there.

yes was stupid - got Dec 12 - 16 -- when actually needed dec 11-16 and been on a wait list for at least 8 months

so - nothing like feeling stupid....

should have checked my other reservation before making the reservation or at least immediately after and not wait a couple of months.

oh well live and learn. think was hoping to be living there by then - and that is not going to happen....

Wow, so you have been on a waitlist for 1 night for 8 months! OK...that is good to know, but very sad as far as prospects go. Our dates are the 14 to 17th.

yea making next Dec for VWL in Jan and will definitely check the dates before then.

Good! Is your move still possible? Our DS's family is hoping for a Florida move, more NE Florida than Orlando, but they are starting to work towards it again. They gave up the search early this year, but have decided Boston Winters really do not suit them.

yes have make an offer on one - short sale - but the wait is killing me. Saw a cute 1920 house last week - but it needed majority and I mean majority work.

the house that might get (short sales take a long time) - is much, much bigger than need or want. but the area is still where want it. so that makes up for a lot. too much space is not something really want - don't want to become like friends and relativies a collector of things....

it is 30 to 45 minutes from WDW - so close just not too close. it is in lake county which is probably one of the most beautifully (my opinion) in florida.

hey not moving for the weather - Al is pretty mild in the winter but to be closer to WDW. if they can't find something in Florida - both Alabama and Georiga both have some excellent deals on houses. plus they actually have changing in the seasons - which Florida does not always have.

hope you get what you want - even if I don't...
