We are back from a trip and we stayed at BLT in a Lake View Studio Room 7806. That room had a clear view of the Castle and of course the fire works. Here is our trip report:

Check In--11am quick and easy less than 5 minutes and the room was ready.

Parking--No issues. Plenty of spots in front of BLT.

Room--Felt tight as we are used to Caribbean Beach (which has the largest rooms of the moderates). Small end tables, not much space around the bed, especially against the wall. The pull out is stiff, but found it perfectly fine for sleeping. Balcony was wonderful. The little kitchen area was perfect for us. The bathroom sink in the kitchen was a bit odd, but we understand why it was done. For the germ people, you gather more germs from the Monorails and the community style condiment section, so dont panic about the no sink in the bathroom.

Bathroom--Dont know what the fuss is about the sliding door and the gap. Granted no lock and a slight gap exists but you can not see anything unless someone has their face right against the wall. Even then all you see is the very end corner of the bathroom. Note to people, if you vacation with peepers, well that is your 1st problem and dont stand in the very corner of the bathroom.

For such a modern hotel, the shower has no shelves which forces one to put shampoo and soap on the edge of the tub. And to be picky, the shower head is nothing special. I guess the future does not require shelving or modernized shower heads. Maybe we will all clean ourselves in a different fashion in the future.

Since they took away free valet parking, why not use some of those found funds to add some shelves in the tub area.

Other things--Okay for the folks who order room service, Disney needs to do a better job at picking up the trays. We passed some room service trays that sat outside the room for at least a day. What are people to do with their dishes?? And for the few families that had a pizza box outside their door...okay really!!! You can walk the 50 feet to throw that in the trash area??

The convenience to the Kingdom was awesome, the hotel and pool were awesome. I think a few kinks need to be worked out, but I think in time, it will be worked out.

Thanks for the BLT review. We are going soon and I love reading first-hand reports.

I am really looking forward to walking to the MK. The wait for the bus home to the BWV after the fireworks is endless.

The problem with the room service trays in the hall is not BLT specific. I'm pretty sure I've seen the trays in the hall more than just a day. Maybe people put them out after housekeeping is gone for the day and obviously no one goes around checking hallways.
