Now that BLT is open does anybody have any pictures of the standard view? :)

We are in a STD view 1br at BLT. It wasn't where I imagined
it would be. It is on the grnd floor on the inner C. I can see
the Tempo fountain from my room. I'll try to post a picture later.

Thanks--I was also wondering about standard view. Did you get a choice when you checked in? I figured the rooms would be on the lower floor. When I walked around in July I thought the ground floor rooms looked fun! You can walk right out the door to the Magic Kingdom. Have a magical time. Say hi to Mrs. Potts and Chip if you see them!

popcorn:: subscribing as I am booked in a 1 bedroom standard view at the end of the month.

I'm curious too! I'll be in a standard studio in January.

Where are those pictures and view descriptions ;) :woohoo:

I would also love to hear about the standard view locations everyone has. We have a 1 BR booked in June 2010. When we booked we were told it could either be a view of the parking lot or the Contemporary. Wherever our room location will be, I can't wait to stay in such a beautiful place!

are the standard views that bad that nobody is posting live? ;) ;) :lmao::lmao:

We had a 1BR, from the patio you could see the Tempo Fountain.

From the living room, you could see the Bocci courts

I remember having a much worse standard/mk view from the North Wing of the Contemporary resort. Birnbaum described it as "a Magic Kingdom view, with a much better, beautiful view of the parking lot." We were on the 1st floor too.

For years later, whenever planning a trip to WDW, dh and I would joke about getting our "Beautiful view of the parking lot" and we usually got it too.

I joined DVC, and haven't had a parking lot view since.

dvfromva -- Thanks for posting the pics. I'd take that standard view in a heartbeat over the view I have -- of a mountain of laundry and floors that need to be swept!

LOL I was just thinking the same exact thing!

Do we know whether all Standard view rooms are on the lower floors? Would it be possible to add a high-floor request to a SV reservation?

Also, I took a tour of the 2BR DVC was giving at BLT. It was on the opposite side also on the 1st (ground) floor and it faced the shuffle board courts.
I believe there are two-2BR lockoffs on each side (on the inside "C") that would account for some of the std views....

And those are on the lower floors, you mean, or on each floor?

Just the ground floor, but I was looking for that link that has the rooms listed floor by floor...

I was trying to recall the percentage of std view rooms (was it about 20%?) and MK views (11%?) to figure out the number of rooms that would
be in each category.

What I don't know is if the 2nd floor rooms would have a view of Bay Lake or if they would also be std view...
