BLT Standard View at 7 months?

We're going to try and book BLT at 7 months in a couple weeks. Our 7 month window hits on October 22, so we're going to try and get it on that day. Due to the need of having two seperate studios, we won't be able to afford the lake view with the points we have, so we're going to have to try standard view.

What's the chances we'll get our request? This would be for the week before Memorial Day, so I'm not sure how crowded things are then. I know the weekend of Memorial Day is crowded and after it starts picking up...

Our second choice is Beach Club and we may have the same problem there. Any thoughts?

In my experience, park crowd level is manageable at that time of the year. BLT standard is very difficult. Some times of they year, owners cannot get it at 10 months. You might be able to say the same thing about BCV in the summer.

But, it is not impossible. I once obtained a BLT standard reservation at 7 months.

You'll never know until you try. I would have a 3rd choice in mind as backup, and then waitlist.

Before we owned at BCV, we did get a studio for the week before Memorial day. I think you stand a better chance at that then at getting a standard view at BLT, but I hope you do!

maybe - now if you were doing during the f/w,or dec - probably not.

but May is not that busy. Call tomorrow and see what is available - you don't have to make a reservation then - just call to see what your chances are.

blt standard view are only 10% of the resort. they stop at 5th floor.

I would say the chances of 2 standard view studios at 7 months is slim- I own and a few times I have missed out on standard view studios becuase I waited until 2 days past 11 months. @ studios at BCV could be hard at that time of year but more likely than 2 standard BLT studios. I would have a 3rd choice ready (or your home resort already booked so you have a back-up.

Good luck. I bought a small contract at BLT just to be able to book the standard rooms at the 11 month window. I would suggest you have a back up resort handy to book. I agree as others, there's always a chance for 1 studio, but 2 studios, would take alot of pixie dust! I managed a studio at BCV for May and was thrilled and surprised to get it at the 7 month window. Keep us posted.

We recently booked BLT at 7 months. Getting two studios may be more difficult though, but you may get lucky. We have also booked BCV at 7 months. Good luck. I hope you get BLT or BCV.

I have been waitlisted for awhile for a 1 bedroom standard View. I could only get the lake view.

We own at BLT and couldn't get a std view studio for June, there are not many of them and due to the lower points they are very popular. I hope you are lucky when you make the call.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I kind of anticipated the feedback, but wanted some reassurance I was right. Our home is VWL, but we just stayed there last year and wanted to mix things up. We've already stayed at AKL and SSR, so might have to look at BWV or OKW.
