BLT Standard at 7 months?

I am sure that this has been asked but I did a search and didn't find it so I would appreciate any help. We are thinking about trying BLT next August (late Aug. during dream season) and wondered what my chances are of getting a standard 2br at BLT at 7 months? I can't book any sooner because VWL is my home resort. I am sure the standard rooms are the first to go but do you think we have a chance if we waitlist? Should we try for a lake view too and waitlist a standard? I am just wondering if this is likely or not to happen. Thanks for any help!

Prbly gonna be tough. I had to playing around with my july dates at 11 month window just to get a lock off 2 br standard. I'm guessing Aug. will be tough as well.

I believe that only 20% of the rooms are standard. They usuallly are taken early so I would call right at the 7 month window and go on a wait list. Good luck.

This year, I wanted a 2 bedroom SV at the 10 month mark and got the last one for my dates, August 10th - the 15th.

So, I think it will be tough at the 7 month. I don't think you will have an issue getting LV so book that and wait list.

I have been told that I am getting the last standard room of my size at the 11 month mark by 10am at times, when I called at 10.5 months they were already gone for November this year.

I had trouble with Standard rooms at 11 mos, while I am not saying it's impossible at 7mos it's certainly not as likely.

Then again you could luck out ... last year I book 9 nights standard at BLT knowing at 7 mos I'd try and book a split stay, so 4 of those nights became available when I got BWV.

could you possible use enough points to get a LV - those are definitely easier to get.

I'm also a BLT owner and added on just to be able to book the standard rooms at the 11 month window. I've managed twice now to book exactly at the 11 month window. I think it will be very hard to get a standard reservation at the 7 month window. I did book early May last year at the 7 month window and only the LV were left and that was for a 1 bedroom.

I was lucky enough to get a studio for F & W last year. At first it was LV and then in 1 day we got SV. We ended up with a great view of the tennis courts and MK to the left!

We just did that very thing in June and didn't have any problems at the 7 month window. And we stayed for a whole week. I think if you call right on the button you shouldn't have too much trouble. Good luck!

I called at 9:05am on my 11 month window or our stay starting on 9/25 for a week and couldnt get either type of 2 bedroom...We booked LV and kept 2 standard view wait lists - one or lockoff and one for dedicated...i cancelled them 5 months out when they didnt open up and we commited to OKW for extra space when more people joined our party...

I own BLT points and have had a hard time getting the desired rooms/dates at 11 months out. However, I usually wait list at another resort like BCV. So maybe you'll have some luck!
