We arrived in DW just in time with the cold snap. Thought we'd use the President's Day weekend to try a new resort, as we usually stay on bwv/bcv for our longer summer trip.
We were a little disappointed with the new resort. Check in went smoothly, but the studio room was smaller than I imagined. The couch was ripped underneath, as if from too much wear from pulling the sleep sofa out, but the room was in good shape. I really missed having a full length mirror. At 5'2 the kitchenette/sink area mirror only showed down to my shoulder area. The totwl was great, and had a decent sized crowd both nights we were there. Having to go down to the first floor to be allowed up to the 16th floor to access the lounge is awkward. I understand they may want to limit access, but that can be done by checking the guests at the door to the lounge. We were on the 15th floor, and the trip to the first floor was kind of a pain. I didn't like having an empty lobby either. We liked the Contempo area over at the Contemporary, but it was a long trek over the walkway with the wind and rain. The floors immediately off the walkway are tile, which are extremely slippery when wet, and Florida gets enough rain that I could foresee this being a problem. CMs were all around the blt, and everyone was really friendly. The community hall was small, and just not as nice as that at bwv. I was happy to try the new resort, glad that the points system lets us try new spots, but we probably won't be back. For our family, this was a great opportunity to try the new spot. It just goes to show, each family has different things they are looking for, and that's what makes the dvc system work-something for everyone.

Thanks for your Bay Lake Tower review. That is what is so great about DVC and it's membership. It allows you to try out all the resorts and choose the one that is right for you and your family.

We noticed wet, slippery floors frequently by the elevators, lobby level.

You must have had a great view with a villa so high up!
