BLT reservation issues

Did anyone else see this. I don' t need to book BLT but was on the member website checking on my THV ressies. Got them this moring.

Thought people looking for BLT might want to know.

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort transactions unavailable Monday, February 9

Due to an unexpected system challenge, Member Services is unable to accept Vacation Points or cash reservations on Monday, February 9, for Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Additionally, previously booked reservations cannot be modified and new waitlist requests cannot be created. Our IT teams are diligently working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Members can call Member Services on Tuesday, February 10, for further assistance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Do you think those who were able to secure reservations at BLT on sunday are "safe" with their reservations!!??

I called this morning and the CM told me that the system was down. They couldn't check availability, make or change reservations or do anything regarding BLT. He said that they are asking everyone to call back tomorrow. I was all excited when it said that there was a 3 minute wait. I should have known something was up!

strange how the system prblem only isolated to BLT. i called this morning changing my SSR and HHI ressie with no problem. Different system just for BLT ??

I would bet that they really made some mistakes with yesterday's reservations, and they need a day to sort it all out. There are no "separate" systems.....

Mistakes They better not tell me... i called this morning to cancel my SSR and HHI- hate to have them tell me my BLT is cancel also.

Interesting. I didn't see this post earlier. I called MS about an hour ago just to double check my BLT reservation (can you say anal?) and to make sure we were wait listed for MK view.

The CM I spoke with checked right away and said it was there and my wait list was there too. Never mentioned any system problems.

Maybe they're all fixed now!

When i called to cancel my SSR and HHI, i made sure twice they cancel the right one. I kept saying to MS .. SSR right and not BLT... ? she chuckled. I insist on giving her the ressie #, but she only wanted the last 3 digit. After the phone call, i logged onto member site to double check. whew, what a morning.

I got a LV studio and waitlisted MK view; hopefully the waitlist is still active. If not, I can live with looking out over Bay Lake. Hey, it's the tower's namesake, right?

For grins, I thought that I would try to call again just to see what would happen. Now there is a message stating something similar to the announcement on the website "Due to unexpected computer problems...."

I was on with them making a reservation at BLT when the system went down (around 9:30 am). I was told to call back after 11 and now (I called at 3) got the message about tomorrow. They had exactly what I wanted as well! The good news is no one else can get through so I have a good chance tomorrow morning.

I think if it was me I would print out that page as proof as an existing ressie....for the just in case it crash's.....

I actually DID print out a couple of copies of my BLT Ressies yesterday when I booked... now with today's news I am happy that I did, Just in case.

I called an added a note to my reservation made yesterday. I wanted to request a high up room. She was able to add it to my ressie no problem. I am sure that they are just working out the bugs with all the new rooms being added to their system....

I wouldn't worry about it.
