Just got back from the BLT and I must say, that I loved it. I was a bit nervous as I have seen a few negative posts on here but overall it was a tremendous experience.

I was located in a dedicated 2-bedroom on the 5th floor with Magic Kingdom view.

Pros:

1. Room layout was great and I liked the décor of the room.

2. Location, location, location. We were on the same floor as the sky bridge which was convenient for getting to the Cotemporary and the monorail. Also, it was nice being able to take a nice short walk to the Magic Kingdom.

3. I loved the TOW lounge and it was pretty crowded when I was up there with my family. I would say about 75 people in total, but we were able to get a table and enjoyed the food and drink as the fireworks were going off.

4. Staff was fantastic and very helpful overall.

Cons:

1. Room could have been a bit cleaner – nothing major, but some dust around the lamps on the tables and few pieces of silverware were dirty. The big stuff like the bedding, bathroom, etc was all very clean.

2. Being told by the front desk staff at the Contemporary that there was no food at the TOW lounge. Very odd and of course they were wrong.

It was a great experience overall and am now really looking forward to our next visit in September.

We're heading that direction in a couple of weeks. It will be our first trip there.

I have a question for you. You mentioned the front desk staff at the CR. Is that where we check in...even if we're staying at the BLT? I'm guessing so since it's that way at most DVC resorts.

Anyway, thank you for your feedback. I'm looking forward to trying the TOW.

I do hope you enjoy your 1st trip as much as I did!

Yes, you check-in at the CR. I do reccomend you do the online check-in prior to your arrival, it makes the check-in process go very smoothly.

Greg...Did you find it noisy being on the same floor as the sky bridge? Also, how far away was the elevator?

I was down approximately 6 rooms from the elevators / sky bridge and actually found it to be very quiet. Trust me, I was not too happy at first that I was on the same floor as the sky bridge but it worked out great and would be happy to be on that floor again.

.

How do they not know this? Did you believe them and found out that there was food when you went up there? If so, that could throw off some people's planning.

I was really confused about it and not sure how they didn't know that food is served up there. It almost threw off my planning, but I decided to go up to the TOW lounge and see for myself - I am glad I did.

How was the MK view from the fifth floor? What was your room number? Thanks in advance.

View was incredible from the 5th floor and was able to enjoy the fireworks from the room.

I was in room 7524 I believe.
