Wasn't able to get the info today from guide (he's out of the office), thought i'd post here to try & find answer to DHs Q's

Believe i read here/somewhere:confused: only 20% of the units @ BLT will be MK View, seems low unless they aren't counting lower floors or 'partial' views?:confused3

*worried re potential for difficulty in obtaining the MK view

*wondering if the lounge they feature in the video will have an accompanying MK view?

*If so, will it be solely for onsite guests, all DVCers or open to allpopcorn:: ?

*Will it be tied into restaurant ressies ala CA Grill?

IMO, rooftop viewing area to catch Wishes, not just the balcony view for SOME of the units; is imperative!

20% seems fairly close. Look at it this way - the building looks like this: C

None of the inside rooms will have MK view. You would have to be in the top half of the C to be able to see MK. Plus lower floors would be hard to see over the trees, hopefully those are not MK view, perhaps those are the standard view. The inside of the C would be Bay Lake view, along with the very bottom of the C on the outside, so I guess that's where 65% are.

yes, it does makes sense if u add in the lower floors, thanks for explaining

From the drawings, if they use 20% that covers the rooms which would have a “clean” view of MK (see it sitting in the living room). I would say another 10-20% would have a “limited” view, like being on the balcony and having a side view of the fireworks.

Our guide gave us the percentage breakdown today. Bay Lake View is around the mid-50s%, then MK View is 30-something, and Standard is in the low teens (12 or 13%), IIRC.

EDITED TO ADD: I see someone else posted that their guide said MK View is only 20% ... gonna call our guide in the a.m. and verify that.

Another thought after viewing the 360 of the studio...

@ 1st i thought the bed was against the wall, then realized there is a small bit of floor space

The sofabed seems crammed into space, right next to wall:confused3

*anybody find the square footages yet?

Yes, I'm concerned enough about the few MK views that it is factoring into my decision to buy or not. We travel at peak times and with this new booking system I can't be guaranteed a MK view room at 11 months out.

and from what i read on another thread that only 70 spots would be available for viewing the FW from observation deck amounts to a deal breaker for us:sad2: , really hope it's not true:wizard:

I wonder if 1 bedroom would be best way to get MK view, they always seem to go last at BCV (small too).

If you look at that C-shaped building including photos showing location and direction of views, you will see that only about 1/2 of the rooms on the back of that C face towards MK and lower level floors will not be included in MK view. My guess is that they will make sure MK views actually have decent MK views; otherwise, the screaming is going to be enormous because of the point costs for those rooms. MK view will likely be popular but you do have to shell out the king's ransom of points to get it, and lake view should be pretty good.

The Top of the World Lounge will have the MK viewing at roof level; and that lounge/bar will apparently be limited to BLT guests at least initially and its capacity is not yet determined (70 has been mentioned); also as a bar, there is the unanswered question whether children will even be allowed inside. There will be a restaurant (the Wave, which is described as casual and may be buffet, ground level), a fast-food cafeteria type place, and a bar at the pool.

They should of made an adults-only infinity edge pool on the roof!

There are nights that have multiple fireworks shows, I wonder if they would "keep the croud moving"

Nope, not concerned at all.

Mostly because I don't ever plan on trying to book one. We're fine with lake view (which is the majority)....

It's going to make those views a pretty nice "perk of ownership" though. There may be SOME still open at the 7 month mark, I guess...but I'd bet that number is relatively small.

The Wave and the other restaurants are already at the CR (although the new quick service is still being built). AFAIK, there are no plans for any restaurants in BLT.
