BLT Question - Bell Service

We were luck enough to book BLT for our annual Novermber trek "back home". Reading all of the postings and seeing all of the pictures has us so excited....even though we just got back a month ago !!!

Does BLT have any type of bell service, or wheeled carts that can be used to bring things such as groceries from the parking lot, to your room. I usually head out to the Super Walmart on our first evening and load up on water, soda, snacks and breakfast items.

Hoping they have something in place. Thanks for any help.

The Bell Service desk at the Contemporary serves BLT.

I've never seen wheeled carts for use by the guests, only by Bell Services.

Most folks pull up in the front of the resort and hand the stuff off to Bell services then go park the car.

Disney won't let Guests use their carts, citing insurance reasons. I think the real reason is that they are protecting the Bell Person's tips.

I think you raise a good question. Bay Lake Tower does not have a luggage room or a check in desk. It's all handled in the main Contemporary building. The only luggage carts I've seen are in the Contemporary...not Bay Lake Tower. You are not the only one that will want to drop shopping off so it will be interesting to see how things develop. Disney is good at adapting so I'm sure it will be addressed.

I would think any bellman froom the Contemporary taking guests luggage to Bay Lake Tower can walk by the bus station and use the main doors to get into their lobby, then up the elevators to whatever rooms their going to.

Considering that every room at BLT has some kind of kitchen I gotta believe they have this worked out so that the guests will be able to bring in their groceries. Hope some people post back soon who have stayed there this week! Curious to hear more reviews!

1) Carts are not given to guests to use at Deluxe/Mod/DVC resorts.
2) They are for the use by bellmen.
3) This is the way they make their income.

Thnaks for all of the responses. Frankly, I'd prefer to hand my items off to Bell services and have them bring them up to the room. I'll tip well to not have to carry everything myself !!!
