BLT Pool in January

We are headed to BLT for a mid-January trip. Temperatures will play a big role in whether we can use the pool, but I am also worried about shade from the towers which will make it feel that much cooler. Anyone have any experience here during the winter months? Do the Contemporary pools offer more sunshine? Thanks.

I can tell you from even our Thanksgiving trip the BLT pool gets cool because of the shade in the afternoon. And especially if you are a mom just sitting in the sun watching the kiddos, it gets chilly fast starting early afternoon!! We did jump over to the CR main pool for the afternoon a few days - it stayed sunny over there for quite a bit of the afternoon! The kids loved playing volleyball and football on their large sandy beach area too!!
