BLT POLY GF-?

For me adjoining studios isn't a valid argument as it isn't a booking category. Had they made it one it would have been a lot more popular.

You can't go to the Poly with three kids and two studios and take the risk of them not being adjoining. 2 bedroom is far better. And you get laundry
I agree with you though I'll add that IF one takes the chance they need a plan if the rooms are not connecting. It's basically the same thought process as cruise cabin decisions with kids though for the Poly, you don't know where you stand BOTH villas are ready. If one is willing to take the chance, it's still a reasonable option but basically it means either having kids old enough they can be by themselves or being willing to split up the parents if it doesn't work out.

That's a good point. If you're booking early enough, they should make it so you have that option if it is available. Would make it a lot easier and gives families more flexibility.

Villa at the grand floridian is the way to go for us
Loveeeee the location
The resort
The restaurants inside that resort
And most of all
The choices of studios .. 1 bedroom and all of it with my favorite transportation monorail

When my kids were young I never gave it a second thought that we could easily travel in a single hotel room. Now that they are entering their teen years, I see how naive that I was. If I'm staying a short time we can all make do with a studio, but for longer trips, 1 bedroom is minimum. In my mind it automatically leaves the Poly out. Unless I suddenly became filthy rich and could afford one of the bungalows. VGF is a small resort and the studios are hotly contested. If you get enough points then the larger rooms will be easier to get (particularly the 1 bedrooms) If you don't buy enough points for the larger rooms you'll be in the pot with all the others who are fighting for the few studios available. BLT gives you the best of both worlds. Plenty of availability and plenty of variety in rooms.
