BLT Point Chart & Other Questions...

Hi! We are thinking about joining DVC and buying points at the new BLT resort!

First, does anyone have a link to a points chart? We are not current DVC members, and we saw a chart linked on this site before but can't find it anymore!!! Any help would be appreciated!

We have a few other questions since we're newbies!

When I called Disney, they said they would have a 2/09 use year, but we can go later if we want. We tend to go in November now, but may once our kids get older go in early May or in March (spring break time). Do you guys think that's a good use year or should we do March/April or something else?

Also, I'm a little confused how it works if we cancel within 30 days. What does the holding account mean? Are the points in this account until we either (a) book a trip within 60 days or (b) the points expire? Just trying to figure this one out!

Also, I'm just curious -- which types of units are generally the toughest to get -- 1 BRs, Studios or 2BRs? Just curious....

For trips in March or May, a February or March Use Year would work well. (You ideally want a Use Year the same month or just prior to when you will travel to maximize the ability to reuse the points in the event of a cancellation).

Cancellations within 30 days of arrival place those points in the Holding Account which means they can only be used to make a reservation for arrival within 60 days from when you call. Holding Account points cannot be banked and will expire at the end of the Use Year.

Generally, studios and 1BR villas are reserved first - except in the case of special reservation categories like Standard and BW view at BWV, near HH at OKW and dedicated 2BR villas at BCV, concierge villas at AKV and also GVs at any resort.
