BLT or VWL one night

So I'm looking at a quick one night stay to catch Electric Light Parade before it's gone. BLT and VWL both have a one bedroom available.
I really want VWL for theme, haven't been there in a while and I'd love the chance to have a night there. But, I know there is major construction happening. I'm wondering how much of an impact it will have if I'm just planning on one night.
The other choice is BLT and of course has the benefit of walking to MK.
Anyone know more info about the construction? How much it will deter from soaking up the atmosphere?
If it's really like staying at a construction zone I'll do BLT but I'd rather be at VWL. Hmmm.... Any thoughts? Especially from anyone who has been there recently.

One night, BLT. Save VWL until construction is completed and you can enjoy it for more than a couple of nights. Christmas time is really beautiful there.

Agree with Bill - for one night when you are planning to spend your time at the MK, BLT is the best choice. You can always take the boat from the Contemporary over to WL for a meal or a walk-around if you're feeling a bit nostalgic.

Ok, I do collect pins, and I understand you get a pin set if you stay at VWL during construction. Getting the pin, and taking the boat to MK would cause me to go VWL for the one night! If I didn't get the pin, well, I suppose it is my choice, for just one night. I miss staying there.
