BLT or BCV???

Our April trip is the Star Wars run weekend- the first week of summer is the last week before the points go up. We went the first week of June last year and waitlisted a BLT 2BR at 7 months, but didn’t get anything. I guess we just have bad timing.

We've done the Star Wars weekends since they started. Are you looking for the 2BR's then? They were available most locations for this coming race including BLT - I was looking and debating for quite awhile but eventually booked VGF 2BR a 6 weeks or so ago. BWV is difficult then because the 2BR's are lockoffs although I did think that the pool/garden view was still available at 7 months. If you look for studios then those are tough on race weekends. It's been a few years since I've booked that May/June time. Sorry you've had such poor luck - it's very puzzling to me for those times but things happen for sure.

I don’t know where you currently live, but I think SAB is overrated. Living in the south, there is no shortage of pools and water parks here. I wouldn’t buy a property based on the pool since we have one in our backyard. We don’t go to WDW to hang out by the pool, but we usually have to visit the pool at least once with kids. I own at VGF, BLT, and BWV. I LOVE the proximity to MK when staying at BLT. I would choose BLT over BCV for the ppp and the expiration date alone. They’re pretty close in price, and BLT has a lot more years left on it. We chose BWV over BCV because BCV was just too high for the expiration date for us. Add in SWL opening up and BWV being closer, and it was an easy choice for my family. Tons of good opinions from various people here. Good luck with your decision.

Well, we decided... Neither! For the same price we were going to pay for BLT with banked points and dues and fees, we added points to our current contract thru Disney! We are getting banked points from 2018 with no dues so it turns out a good deal for us, and my hubs can quite whining about not having a card . And we get the points today! I feel less stressed now. Thank you for all the advice! I think we will be able to get BLT at 7 months if we are a little more flexible with our dates

Congratulations! I think you will be able to get lakeview pretty easily. And lake views are pretty spectacular.
