BLT- November switch

I am just to happy today I called this morning and was able to switch to BLT for November 28 to December 3rd in a 1BR. So if anybody is waiting for a 1BR at BCV for that time frame, you are in luck.

Ahhh... I wanted to try BLT before we added on points. I am torn between an add on at BCV or points at BLT. Hopefully, this will hep me decide. Maybe I need to do both

Congrats on getting the switch, and fwiw I don't think you will be disappointed adding on at either resort - how can you go wrong ???

As a matter of fact, I was on the phone at that time. Maybe just before 9:00. Glad I help! Enjoy the BCV, it is still my fav resort.

Enjoy that BLT 1 bedroom. I'm so tempted to add on there, just to stay in one of those. We may also try to switch one of our stays before we add on, to try the resort first, but I don't know if we both can hold out buying for that long.

The ladies I work with were making fun of me I had all the numbers dialed and at 9 i pushed the last zero and then i was on the phone with the cm. I told them- you just dont understand dvc.

What view did yo get? MK, Lake or Standard?

We will be there during that week too! After checking out the area in January, I think I will actually prefer the lake view. See you then!

I was able to do the same for November just a week ago- I switched my dates to get better airfare$$ and decided to try for a couple of nights in a BLT 1 bdrm- we got the lakeview, too!! I am VERY excited to stay there- we've never stayed in a monorail resort before, and I LOVE the BLT villas design! Tres chic, baby!!

Well we are booked at BLT for Nov 21 through 26th. We leave on Thanksgiving day. But we would like to switch to BCV, BWV or VWL from Nov 26 to Dec 3 because we want to be able to see the Osbourne lights and the candelight processional.

I haven't called yet to see if we can switch. I am hoping there were people like you wanting to change to BLT and opening up some other inventory! But my question is have you been during this time before. Do you think staying from turkey day until the following Tues is a bad decision? We will get to see all the Christmas stuff, but I am betting that weekend with Thkgv has got to be bad. We are torn because we are bringing my DH grandparents. They are 90 and 95 and want "to see Mickey one last time". They are troopers, but they won't be walking any marathons so I am thinking crowds will be an issue.

We are really torn between going "home" for our first DVC tirp and being right next to MK and a monorail ride from Epcot... and having the Dgranparents see the CP at Epcot and the Osbourne lights. I think they will go gaga over those two things. We simply can't afford to go to BLT for the other dates because the weekend rates at BLT is just too rich. I don't want to borrow all my points from next year!

What do you think? Change from BLT to get to see the Christmas stuff or keep it the Sat to Turkey day and stay at our new home.

I have been during Thanksgiving for the last 5 years. The week of Thanksgiving is very, very busy. The crowds seem to go down starting the Saturday after. Very noticable on Sunday and by Monday there is a HUGE change in crowd levels.

I am guessing both will be crowded. I am trying to figure out if it will be worth the excess crowds on Fri, and Sat of Thanksgiving to get to stay and see the Christmas stuff.

We have to leave the Tuesday after because my son has to be back in school.

I know what you mean. I called 4/29 at 9:00 to make the switch to BLT and was hoping for MK View for 29 Nov - 3 Dec (2 BR), but ended up with Lake View. I did Wait List for MK View, but will be happy just to be there with a Lake View.

Gosh, that is a tough one to call. I guess it really depends on how badly you want to see the Candellight on Osborne. The crowds, I think, should be about the same Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, and Sat. So the Saturday and Sunday before will be busy, but okay. The Sunday and Monday after will, again in my opinion, be less. Would Monday be a travel day for you or a park day? No matter when you go during that week, all the other decorations will be up and the parks and hotels will be beautiful. It is such a great time of year to go. The weather is usually wonderful as well.
