I can't help but start planning our next Disney trip even tho its not until the end of 2019 or early 2020... I'm hoping to be a DVC owner by that time :) Looking at our options with amount of points we will be buying and we will have enough to stay at BLT. What are the villas like there? Does it only run through Contemporary or also BLT?

BLT and CR are connected by the Skyway Bridge. From BLT’s 5th floor it connects to CRs 4th floor.

I don’t think it’s inconvenient at all to go from BLT to CR for the monorail. You just take the elevator to floor 5, walk across the short sky bridge (with view of lake and castle) and you’re on the floor to get on the monorail.

It’s super convenient to get to the monorail from BLT!! Not a long walk either. Use the sky bridge. You are right on the same floor as security check for the monorail and shopping and food!! Wish we had rented points at BLT again for our December stay but my niece wanted to try Poly.
I stayed in a theme park view studio when I stayed at BLT and it was nice.

This might help. First image is taken from Disney's Contemporary Resort. The sky bridge is on the right side. The second image is from Bay Lake Tower, slightly higher up in the building. The sky bridge is on the right and the monorail beams are on the right. The bus stop for both buildings are directly below the monorail.

As for what the villas are like, check out videos of walkthroughs on YouTube. The 1 and 2 brs are some of the best on property, but people have often complained about the size of the studios.

The Studio rooms are very small. Possibly the smallest of the DVC Resorts. The walk to MK is convenient and short though!

Actually, the value studio at Jambo House is a bit smaller, but they used so much space in the BLT studio for the kitchenette that it reduces the space for the living/sleeping area. When the sleeper sofa is opened up, there is very little space between the queen bed and double sleeper sofa. And the sleeper sofa is right up against the window when it is opened up. Plus only a few inches between the bed and the adjacent wall. There is no separate night stand for the bed, just a built-in edge on the bed.

You are absolutely right! We felt so cramped in that studio. We all agreed we would most likely never stay in a BLT studio again. Thankfully we only stayed two nights after getting off a 4 night Disney Dream Cruise.

If you are going to MK from BLT, its a short walk and you will get there faster than the monorail most times.

And if you're going FROM MK to BLT (i.e. closing time) it's a huge benefit to use the walkway back to your room. You'll be home while others are still waiting at the monorail station.:)
