BLT Matching Developer Points New Thread

For us, our guide has been next to useless. Never reply's to our emails/messages etc.

DH called to speak to him 2 days ago re the developer points and spoke to someone else, anway today, just 2 days later we have paperwork confirming 160 developer points to be used by Oct 09 at SSR, DLC or World Passprt!!!

I wish I could swap guides - I HATE BEING IGNORED!!! ITS JUST RUDE!!!!

ariel - I had to go look and see if you had the same guide as Pixerella and me but you don't. Too bad there is more than 1 guide who doesn't seem to care. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
 
My guide stinks. She still hasn't called me back about the points. And she's off yesterday and today. I'm trying to be nice since Thanksgiving just passed and that was the last time I talked to her but dang!


I am confused - you said you spoke to her at Thanksgiving (which was less than a week ago) and she was off Monday and Tuesday - so it does not appear with the holiday and days off this is not unreasonable to not have a call back yet. I don't think waiting a few more days will make much difference honestly...
 

If it had not been my first call to my guide I wouldn't be so upset. The first time I called she told me the people who were getting the points were liars. I took it with a grain of salt and came back to this board to see what others were saying. This was my fourth follow up call.

And I did get the points. After I called my guide back again today and she acted all nonchalant about it. Not such a great experience in my book.
 
what is going on with these guides???? its seems they don't even care once they have got the sale!!! (the bad ones that is!) I wish I had a better guide!!!!! one that actually responds to messages and emails!!!

We did our original purchase at SSR back Oct 07 with our guide Bobby; Then when we took our first trip in May we added on at AKV but our guide was not avilable so we had Diane and Don (added 50 points twice because DH couldn't decide if he wanted to add on just 50 or go for the full 100 and get the DP currently offered for Kanandi Village :rolleyes1 ) THEN when we went back to WDW at the end of Sept we toured BLT and DH fell in love:love: so we added on there with a DIFFERENT guide:scared1: (how is it our guide is never around when we need him.. then again, could be that we wait until the end of our trips to decide to add on:confused3 :rolleyes1 ) so if I want to try to take advantage of the backdated DP points that we didn't get for BLT who do I try to contact?

First of all, I would like to thank tomjul811 for starting this thread. Second, I would like to thank everyone who has posted their advice. You are all so awesome!

I called my guide on Tuesday to ask about the develor points. She called me back by 1:00 in the afternoon on Wednesday to confirm that the points had been extended to us and the code had been added to our account - Yippee! :yay:

Just give DVC a call and they will tell you who your Guide is and put you in touch with him/her. Good luck!
 
I'm trying to be patient but it's been about 2 1/2 weeks and I still haven't heard anything back from my guide about developer points. I've called and left a couple of messages since my original conversation with him to see what's going on with no reply. I called MS today to see if there was anything in my account and there is nothing there. I don't understand how some members are receiving them within a day or two and then there's a few of us that are waiting weeks at a time :confused3
 
Thanks to the OP for posting, and all the great contributors on this thread!! I got my developer points!!! My guide finally called back and gave me the good news. I literally was sick about signing just days before the promotion, and tried everything I could to look on the bright side, but honestly kept saying, I wish I would've waited. NOW I am beyond thrilled!!

I am also now the Ultra happy DVC owner, and realize that Disney went above and beyond on this request, and truly appreciate the fairness it has displayed. I would have understood if they said no, but by saying yes, will forever cement my loyalty and happiness at the company I so truly adore!:thumbsup2

Thanks again everyone, would not have gotten them if not for the DIS and all the help and advice I got from my fellow DISers:worship: :worship:
 
Another grateful DISer here. We finally got our developer points too!! :yay: Had it not been for the OP & additional posters I never would have called my guide to ask for them. I would have just assumed it was too late and couldn't do anything about it. Now to start planning :woohoo:
 
Wow! I am glad this thread has worked out so well for so many people. I would like to thank all those who responded and helped us all so much. I also think that Disney stepped up and did the right thing even though they had no obligation to do so.
 
Okay so I phoned to book with my developer points and member services said they are not in my account, WHAT!!!! :eek: They should have been deposited weeks ago.:mad: :headache:

Same here, not in my account. Contacted my guide now twice, with the same answer "so and so is not in, I will check tomorrow". At what point do I need a better guide? Any advice?
 
When I called to book it, they did not actually have it in my account but they saw that I made a purchase and sent it to a special group that handles developer point reservations. Maybe the rep at the reservations is not reading the comment?
