BLT June 2013

I called today to try to make a room only reservation at BLT (1 bedroom theme park view) and the agent said no units had been released for June 2013. I know prices have not been released, but did not want to miss my chance to book there. He suggested calling back in 2 weeks and then also said at 7 months out??

Is there a specific time when Villas are released for cash reservations? I considered renting points, but don't really want to pay a year ahead if I can avoid it and renting points makes me nervous. We are a family of 5 and my kids are little so I want to be close to MK and have a separate sleeping space for them.

In case others are looking for the same information--I called again and the CM put me on hold to ask Guest Services. She then said that DVC villas are released for cash reservations beginning at 299 days out.

It might be difficult to get a theme park view, lake view is more likely. BLT is pretty much sold out for points so there will not be many cash rooms available. There will be less theme park view rooms for 2013 because they reclassified floors 3 & 4 to standard view because they are more parking lot view than theme park.

or maybe not...I looked this morning and BLT 1 and 2 bedrooms theme park view were available and I was able to get 20% AAA room only discount.
