BLT is almost sold out!

That's what DVC Guide Roland said at the DVC member get-together on the Wonder on Thursday! Get your points while they are still available because they are "almost sold out" (his exact words). Does anyone really believe that BLT is almost sold out?

I have no clue as to wether or not they are almost sold out, but thats a blatent ploy to get you to buy add-ons.

Someone else can probably give more details...but DVC has to file what rooms have been declared with the county.

Somebody on these boards has been keeping up with this. I don't recall what percentage of the resort has been declared, but it is no where near 100%.

He used to be our guide (emphasis on the used to). Our current guide told my dh last week that BLT is about 50% sold out, and they expect it will sell completely out next year.

It's difficult to sell a resort that only has 55-60% declared so no, I don't believe it's almost sold out.

Our guide said the same thing a few weeks ago - about 50% sold out.

I guess it depends on which time scale your guide is using... (Maybe it's a "geologic" time scale? )

Otherwise, no, I don't believe BLT is almost sold out...

I'm behind on updating sales from BLT, but it should be around 2.6 million points out of 5.7 million that will be sold (based on contracts on the OCC web site).

How does that work with the cost to actually build the tower?
It couldn't have cost 5.7 million X $100/point for 570 million, could it?

I spoke to our guide in Orlando on Saturday and he didnt know exactly how much inventory they have. Just that they are pushing animal kingdom and grand californian.

Not sure how much of AKV is sold but the incentives offered on the Cruise for AKV and VGC were exactly the same.

If you add on 100 points, you get $17 off per point, 125 points was $19 off, 160 points were $21 off, and 200 point add-on is $23 discount. BLT and SSR discounts were less.

BLT was $120 point and AKV, SSR, VGC were all $112 per point.

On page 8, wdrl has a spread sheet showing the points at Kidani.

One thing that makes it difficult tracking actual sales is that last year and earlier this year, there were a fair number of contracts that Disney regained control of. I'm not sure how significant the foreclosure numbers were for other resorts, but at BLT there have been 10-20 contracts where Disney reclaimed ownership of the points.

Hmm really weird cause we were on the Wonder Dec 13 - 17, went to the DVC meet on Monday; met Roland, Christina, and Matt ? (iffy on Matts name) and at that time were told BLT was selling at a very good pace but it wasn't sold out yet. They estimated 7 - 9 months before that would happen....

Based on deeds recorded on the Orange County Comptroller's website through December 16, 2009, BLT has about 2,653,728 points sold out of a projected total of 5,825,540 points. That is only 45.55% of the total points.

For AKV, about 3,900,837 points out of a projected total of 7,400,180 points have been sold through December 16, 2009, which is 52.71% of the total.

For SSR, DVD has sold about 142,537 points of the 452,625 points (31.49%) that were declared for the TreeHouse Villa Units in January 2009.

Our Guide told us last month that BLT sales would last another 12 months, which sounds a lot more accurate than saying that BLT is almost sold out.

Through December 16, 2009, recorded deeds show that DVD has sold 73.42% of BLT's Declared points. But that leaves about 960,567 Declared BLT points still to be sold.
