BLT Help

My family and I are heading to Disney in 10 days and are staying at BLT for the first time in a 2br lake view room. I was hoping I could get any helpful tips about the resort such as where to request a room, restaurants, pool etc. Thanks in advance!!

Can't help you about room requests, we have only stayed there in standard room views. BLT itself doesn't have any restaurants or shops but you can take the walkway or the bridge over to the Contemporary for those. We really like the Contempo Cafe's steak salad, it's a must do for us. The Wave has a breakfast buffet that is nice. If you are staying on points don't forget to go up to the Top of the World lounge to view fireworks.

Other great restaurants are at the other monorail resorts. Kona Cafe and Ohana come to mind.

You can use the Contemporary pools in addition to the pool at BLT.

Request even number room, north side. It has a partial MK view.

The Grand Floridian Cafe at the GF is also very good for breakfast (my favorite there). And it is usually pretty easy to get into it without an ADR.

I would suggest that with your lake view you don't miss watching the Electrical Water Pagent, visit Top of the World Lounge at least once to watch the fireworks at MK and dine at California Grill.

We had good food at the Contempo Cafe and the Wave. My DS preferred the main Contemp pool to the BLT pool.

We stayed in a LV room in May and loved the location, we requested a room on the outside if the horse shoe with a marina view, we got exactly what we asked for, our view was straight out towards the beach and we watched the EP each night from the balcony.
